The new version of Photos is absolutely horrible Date: Nov 03 2023
Summary: I usually don't have to process my photos very much, but this new update makes it take twice as long. When you're processing a couple thousand photos from an event, it way too time consuming and not fun anymore.
Positive: Some aspects are easy to use, and quick, which is what I need when processing many photos. The adjustments are a nice feature, as well as the blur background. The markup feature is helpful, when it works.
Negative: It takes me twice as long to process photos with the new update. The original Photos allowed you to save and it would just automatically save it followed by a number, such as (2). Now, you have to click on a save button, then type the (2) yourself. Also after the most recent update, every time I save a photo and try to scroll up one photo to the original, it takes me all the way back to the first photo in the folder. I may have to scroll through hundreds of photos to get back to it, or close it and find where I left off. It sucks. I may just start processing in Photoshop.....
