Meshroom Description
The workflow to create a texture mesh from still images in Meshroom. Meshroom is a 3D reconstruction program that uses the open-source Photogrammetric Computer Vision Framework AliceVision. Enhance the robustness of sift feature extraction on difficult images by updating default values, adding new filtering and adding dsp–sift variation. A new post-processing can improve mesh quality. To favor smoothness, cells are filtered using a solid angle ratio.

VisualSFM is a GUI program for 3D reconstruction using structure-from-motion (SFM). The reconstruction system integrates several previous projects, including SIFT on GPU(SiftGPU), Multicore Bundle adjustment, and Towards Linear time Incremental Structure From Motion. VisualSFM is fast because it uses multicore parallelism to detect and match features, as well as bundle adjustment. This program incorporates Yasutaka Furukawa’s PMVS/CMVS toolchain for dense reconstruction.
