Extorted by MedGen EHR - $5000

    Date: Dec 05 2019

Summary: Very poor customer. Slow to respond. Do not answer direct questions.

Positive: It works but the dashboard is outdated. There are ton of better EHR systems on the market.

Negative: We have been a client of MedGen EHR since 2013. We were considered a legacy account. MedGenEHR eliminated their legacy accounts and forced everyone to upgrade. MedGenEHR upgraded didn't fit our current needs for telemedicine services.

When we asked how we download our patient charts they informed us that it would cost $5000 to have our patient charts downloaded or we could do it ourselves. When we tried to do it ourselves, there was no true way to export the patient charts.

We would literally have to screen shots hundreds of pages per patient chart. We have thousands of patients. This will take weeks if not months to download properly. We are required by federal law to save all patient charts for 7 years.

ATTENTION ALL MEDICAL PROVIDERS. BEWARE OF MEDGEN EHR'S SHADY PRACTICES.

Our legal team is contacted the proper authorities to see if they can force MedGenEHR to release our patients charts to us before they delete them as started in their last email to us.

    Doctor review

    Date: May 09 2019

Summary: I had to work with this for two days in my clinic. It slowed me down way to much and caused to many problems. Then to make it worse support would not talk to me and did even attempt to fix it. I called and tried to David the owner and voice my compliaints and David is to busy to talk to his customer. These people are not trust worthy and now I have to change systems. It will slow the doctor down and I need performance out of my doctors. The EHR should enhance peroformance and not slow me down. Bad piece of crap company support and system. Stay away. I called them all day yesterday and not once did David or anybody that could fix this call me back.

Positive: It appears to be a good overall EHR, but the cons is going to slow me down. I need an EHR that helps and does not hurt my performance.

Negative: If I write multiple controlled substances it is really slow. I mean headache slow. I have click password and then the random number separately for each controlled substance. It would not be so bad if that was all there was to it. I have to wait for the first script to clear which can minutes. The you have to wait again after the second script to make sure it went through. On other systems you can tell if it went or not. They do not have list of script waiting to be sent. We end up with several calls the next day of scripts that did not get to the pharmacy. This is time consuming with answering the phone and checking on these scripts not to mention the patient's dissatisfaction.
