    Solid Material UI component library for React

    Summary: React MUI is one of the biggest players in the React ecosystem when it comes to component libraries. It's stylish and performant, but quite expensive if you want the pro version.

    Positive: - large variety of material-design themed React components
    - Material Design theme looks modern and sleek
    - easy installation and onboarding
    - highly customizable components, with custom theme support
    - good documentation
    - built-in component state
    - MIT and commercial licenses available, depending on tier
    - generous free plan

    Negative: - date range picker is a commonly used component that is only available in pro theme
    - pricing is per dev/month, not a one time licensing fee
    - expensive for a component library

    Summary: A horrific experience of really bad support for MUI Figma Design Toolkit, obnoxious, and also behaving like a bully trying to make us pay for what we don't use.

    Positive: Everyone is using it, so it's easy to find support and to make modifications. Popular. Dark mode. Big community. Standardized design that looks like Google's stuff.

    Negative: It's a pity that their support is such a scam. We accidentally purchased a MUI Figma Design Toolkit license for 2 editors instead of 1 (after realizing it would only be 1 person working on it), and tried using their money-back guarantee.

    Instead, we received a response from somebody called Matt who said that he didn't believe us (!) and that we wouldn't get the money back. After I mentioned that we would have to resort to chargeback, he started threatening us that chargeback is illegal. What an attitude!

    All this is in the context of their 30-day money-back guarantee, which means they don't honor their own policy.
