Negative: I would like to be able to delete images in bulk, instead of one at a time.

Great Software Date: Oct 28 2020
Summary: You get a lot for your dollar, but it doesn't come cheap. Control elements are amazing. I used it to create a resume and got the job! I will keep using it for personal projects and love how well it adapts to anything I want to do.
Positive: It's really easy to control all the elements of a document, from text alignment to resolution! Love the ability to generate high dpi documents with still getting really nice clean control of each element. Cloud-based file management with Google Drive integration is really convenient too.
Negative: It's expensive. It's a little prohibitive in cost but still very powerful software. Ultimately I think its a "you get what you pay for" situation.

Excellent for designing a beautiful report Date: Oct 17 2020
Summary: A very easy to use, intuitive software that takes the hassle out of learning a whole new expensive programme, such as Adobe InDesign.
Positive: Lucidpress made it easy for my small team and I to create a beautiful and compelling report for sponsors, even though we had no design experience. We used one of the templates and customized it with our brand colours. It made our non-profit brand look more professional and polished.
Negative: Sometimes the editing software would be non-responsive, which slowed us down.

User and team friendly marketing! Date: Oct 06 2020
Summary: I really enjoy the program. Our university had a marketing toolbox with fonts and color codes that are unique to our branding. Lucidpress allows for easier access to these tools than any other program I’ve utilized before. We utilized it first for COVID related signage, but it’s exciting to know I can access this stuff moving forward.
Positive: Ease of access to university branding, templates, and colors. Along with options for creative updates to make them relevant to our individual areas.
Negative: Sometimes there are too many options. A couple of the templates are good, and I just want to download or print and the process can get clunky.

Great cloud-based platform makes publishing a breeze Date: Nov 25 2020
Summary: Overall it’s been the best system I’ve used for the reasons mentioned above in the pros. Compared to Adobe InDesign it’s more cost effective (we don’t pay for it but our print vendor does, so this might not be true?), takes up no memory on my PC, works just fine on a Mac, and it’s shareable in real time - what’s not to like?!
Positive: Lucidpress’ online publishing platform has all the features I need for my quarterly newsletter. I especially like that it’s shareable so more than one person can write and edit directly onto the document simultaneously and in real time. Great to use while sharing on zoom! It saves changes automatically so it’s virtually impossible to lose edits. It’s easy to download and save versions to refer back to, and when it’s ready to print, I can save with crop marks to send directly to printers, or in optimized format for web publishing. It’s made pushing out regular and timely newsletters (not my main job!) just that much easier. Thank you, Lucidpress!
Negative: The learning curve was somewhat steep at first when my employer, UCI Health, decided to use this through one of our printing partners, but once I mastered the quirks in its text formatting and image handling, it was smooth sailing. It doesn’t handle directory listings in column format terribly well and it automatically resized text without my asking. Perhaps I need to figure out how to prevent this, but it was frustrating to say the least!

Gave it a Try Date: Nov 18 2020
Summary: Easy, convenient access, intuitive software, well-designed interface and overall value, made the decision to take out a membership an easy next step. I decided to give it a try. Worked great. You even offer guidance based on my schedule and needs.
Positive: I chose Lucidpress to facilitate the development of a quarterly newsletter for residents of our neighborhood association. This was a new idea that had to click right away. And, with your help and guidance, it did. I accessed several sources for a newsletter template but yours allowed me to custom design it without needing a design degree. Additionally, I appreciated the distribution options that were simple and understandable. Thank you.
Negative: It took me a while to feel comfortable with all the design levers and adjustments I could make but once I felt at ease, it worked well. I'd have appreciated a trial that lasted a bit longer so there would be no question that a membership was worth the cost.

Program Director Date: Oct 24 2020
Summary: I think LucidPress is an excellent tool and represents the next generation of design tools. The accessibility - that is, people can collaborate from all over the world - is unbeatable.
Positive: I love the templates and access to various types of publications. They're all sized and ready for online publication, which makes it much easier from a design perspective.
The other huge benefit of LucidPress is its online nature, meaning multiple collaborators can easily access documents and make edits. That has been invaluable with everyone working remotely. Such a time saver - no emailing each other PDFs back and forth.Negative: It can be a little difficult to manipulate text (i.e., leading and kerning). If you're used to a platform like InDesign, getting used to this format can be a little frustrating as it doesn't have as much functionality. It's a minor complaint, though, as the platform offers so much more accessibility.

Costs $390 -- Bad Billing, Lucid Press will not resolve Date: May 04 2021
Summary: I tried the software last April 2020. It was not as good as Adobe InDesign so I cancelled the subscription, but Lucidpress billed me anyway. The charge as 391 dollars for Teams-- apparently an upsell that they dangled in front of me to extend the trial period. The company seems to be more interested in duping people than providing a robust program. The charge was not confirmed via invoice or receipt. I discovered the details much later when preparing my taxes. Lucid Press refused to refund. I say, shame on Lucidpress.
Positive: Hoped this would be a good alternative to Adobe InDesign. Nope. It had potential but a billing error has left me with a bad opinion of the company. Be careful with your money, Adobe is much better.
Negative: Charged me nearly $400 for a year of software, even after I cancelled my subscription. Did not send an invoice or receipt. Will not refund or resolve the issue.
