Canva is the best all the time!

    Date: Jan 03 2024

Summary: In general: Canva must provide a free trial plan that has all the features so that the user gets to know all the site’s capabilities, and this attracts more designers.
Providing and updating a large and enormous amount of ready-made templates to be suitable for the increasing number of users.
Improving the image generation service with artificial intelligence to compete with other sites.

Positive: The Canva website is easy to use and simple for all users because no design experience is required due to the presence of pre-made templates with drag and drop features.
Canva provides wide flexibility to designers because it has a large library of templates and design elements such as graphics, images, and fonts. This facilitates the process of designing graphics such as social media designs, presentations, posters, infographics, or marketing materials.
Canva allows multiple users to work on the same project at the same time, which makes it easier to work with a team that designs group projects.
Canva makes it easy to publish my creations across many different platforms.
Canva can be accessed from anywhere because it is a cloud platform, so I can access my designs and work on them remotely from any device connected to the Internet without losing any stage of the design or templates.

Negative: Canva offers limited options for making some modifications to the design, which is a hindrance for advanced designers.
The free plan in Canva is brand-restricted and allows few specific features, so the designer in the free plan cannot experience all the features and tools on the Canva website.
Although there are many templates in Canva, they are not enough for the huge number of users, whose number increases daily. Therefore, they use the same templates.

A complete online graphic design tool

    Edited: Jun 06 2023

Summary: I regularly use this program for my teaching sessions and course materials. Canva is also highly effective for having my students design communication products based on their research work.

Positive: This online platform allows to create customizable graphics, printed documents, flyers, brochures, infographics, magazines, professional presentations, and many other communication materials. The program operates on a drag-and-drop system and provides a wide range of templates, frames, icons, photos, graphs, designs, and other accompanying tools, making it easy and fast to create various graphic products. Additionally, the sharing feature enables collaborative work on creations. Canva allows to produce high-quality visuals, boosting brand image and productivity. Moreover, this software saves time and money as it enables users to create their own materials without the need for a graphic designer. Finally, Canva is a user-friendly, intuitive tool that is easy to use even for beginners and offers a good price-quality ratio for its paid version.

Negative: The program has many useful features, but unfortunately, they are either paid or limited, which is unfortunate for those who require a highly advanced editing tool. Additionally, it is necessary to obtain the paid version to remove watermarks, which is a significant drawback. Lastly, customer service is not easily accessible.

Simplify your graphic design needs and boost your productivity.

    Date: Apr 23 2023

Summary: As someone who works in a fast-paced environment, I am constantly looking for ways to streamline my workflow and increase efficiency. That's why I chose to use Canva for my graphic design needs, and it has been a game-changer for me.

Canva's powerful editing tools are also a standout feature. These tools allow me to crop, resize, rotate, filter, adjust, animate, and more. For instance, I can easily crop an image to fit within a specific area or add filters to create a particular aesthetic. Additionally, Canva's brand kit feature is an excellent tool for maintaining consistent branding across all my designs. I can store my logos, colors, and fonts, making it easy to access and use them in all my designs.

Another significant benefit of Canva is the content planner feature. This feature enables me to schedule my social media posts in advance, saving me time and effort. I can plan and create content ahead of time, ensuring that I have a consistent presence across all social media channels. Additionally, Canva's print feature is a great way to order high-quality prints of my designs, ensuring that they look great on paper.

Canva also offers a learning hub feature that offers free courses, tutorials, tips, and inspiration. This is an excellent resource for users who want to improve their design skills or learn more about the platform's features. I have found these courses to be informative and engaging, and they have helped me to create even better designs.

While Canva does have some limitations, such as the lack of advanced vector editing features and the requirement for an internet connection, these are minor compared to the benefits it offers. Furthermore, Canva's affordable plans for more advanced features make it accessible to businesses of all sizes. Whether you are a small business owner or part of a larger organization, Canva is an excellent tool for creating professional-looking designs quickly and easily.

I highly recommend Canva for anyone looking for a user-friendly and cost-effective graphic design platform. Its vast collection of templates, powerful editing tools, content planner feature, and learning hub make it an excellent choice for professionals in any industry. With Canva, you can create stunning designs that help you stand out from the competition, all while saving time and effort. It is an invaluable tool that I continue to rely on daily for my graphic design needs.

Positive: As someone who uses Canva regularly in my work, I can confidently say that this platform is a game-changer for anyone who wants to create beautiful and professional-looking designs without the need for advanced graphic design skills. The following are some of the benefits that I have experienced while using Canva:

One of the most significant advantages of Canva is that it is free to use for basic features, and it offers affordable plans for more advanced features. This means that anyone can start using Canva without any financial commitment and upgrade their plan only when they need to access more advanced features.

Another fantastic benefit of Canva is its vast collection of templates, fonts, images, icons, stickers, and other design elements. This extensive library of design assets provides users with an almost endless array of options to choose from, allowing them to create unique and customized designs that stand out.

Canva also boasts a simple drag-and-drop interface that is easy to navigate and operate. This means that even people who have no prior design experience can quickly and easily create stunning designs using the platform.

Furthermore, Canva offers powerful editing tools that let you crop, resize, rotate, filter, adjust, animate, and more. These tools allow users to make precise adjustments to their designs, ensuring that their designs look exactly the way they want them to.

One of my favorite features of Canva is its brand kit feature. This feature lets you store your logos, colors, and fonts for consistent branding across all your designs. With this feature, you can ensure that all your designs align with your brand's style and messaging.

Canva's content planner feature is also worth mentioning. This feature allows users to schedule their social media posts in advance, saving them time and ensuring that their social media presence remains consistent and engaging.

Additionally, Canva has a print feature that lets you order high-quality prints of your designs. This feature is particularly useful for anyone who needs to create physical marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, or business cards.

Canva's learning hub feature offers free courses, tutorials, tips, and inspiration. This feature is perfect for anyone who wants to improve their design skills or learn how to use Canva more effectively.

Negative: As much as I love using Canva, there are some disadvantages to the platform that are worth mentioning. The following are some of the drawbacks that I have encountered while using Canva:

One of the most significant limitations of Canva is that it requires an internet connection to work. This means that if you don't have access to the internet, you won't be able to use the platform. This can be problematic if you need to create designs while on the go or if you're in an area with limited internet connectivity.

Another disadvantage of Canva is that it does not have a spell-check feature. This means that users need to manually proofread their designs to ensure that there are no spelling errors. While this may not be a significant issue for some users, it can be a time-consuming process for those who create a lot of content.

Canva also lacks advanced vector editing features, which may be a drawback for more experienced designers. While the platform does offer a wide range of design tools and editing features, it may not be sufficient for users who require more advanced editing capabilities.

Furthermore, Canva does not have an offline editing mode. This means that users cannot access their designs without an internet connection, which can be inconvenient for those who need to work on their designs while traveling or in areas with limited connectivity.

Another limitation of Canva is that it does not have a word count feature. This can be problematic for users who need to create content that has specific word count requirements. While it is possible to use external tools to check the word count of text within a design, it can be an additional step that takes up valuable time.

Canva's free version also has some limitations. For example, it does not allow resizing templates, which means that users may need to start from scratch if they want to use a template in a different size. Additionally, the free version does not remove watermarks from premium images, which may be an issue for users who want to use these images in their designs without the watermark.

It solves many problems, especially when creating content for social networks.

    Date: Feb 27 2023

Summary: It is a very powerful tool that anyone who is dedicated to design can use it, regardless of whether they are a professional or a person who wants to make their personal brand within this platform without having any knowledge of design, it is clear that if you have more knowledge on the subject regarding colors and fonts will have good results, but with Canva templates you can achieve many things without having any idea of design and still get good results with this platform. The AI makes the job much easier when creating an image without having to compose it in a traditional way, I am aware that it is not perfect, but I found it wonderful that with a simple text you can get very close to the idea that You have thought of an image and that with a large number of hits you manage to create an image.

Positive: * I found the idea of being able to integrate AI into Canva interesting, since it allows speeding up the design of any creation within this platform without having to consider making images, since that requires time that can be implemented to finish any design made in more quickly. Canva. During my experience with the tool to convert text to images, I can say that if such elaborate images are not needed, the AI will be able to create images with a fairly high fidelity with respect to the inserted text, however, not everything is rosy and there are times when the AI does things that don't make sense or go very well with the requests it's been given to create an image, so it can take several tries to get a good result. For the rest, and in general, it does a good job of allowing images to be created out of nothing from a simple text, thus being able to capture an idea more quickly.

    * I love the great variety of designs that can be done in Canva since it has many templates depending on the purpose or what the design to be created is for, since there are no limits to this platform. This platform is a good tool for anyone starting out in the world of design, as it allows you to create everything from print designs, for example, business and identification cards, shirt designs, to resumes and magazine covers, which is very useful since that in programs for professionals such as Photoshop you must have more advanced knowledge and more when it comes to powering the designs in examples that preview the final work or design. So Canva is ideal for this job since you can have previews immediately and you can make the respective changes in case something does not look right or simply make any modifications before printing. For the world of digital marketing there are also templates for the different social networks since each one of them has its dimensions depending on whether it is for a post, cover or profile image, there is no template that escapes this platform.

    * Video editing within this platform was one of the features that I liked about this platform as I thought they only focused on creating image layouts, however it is also possible to create videos for social media and gesture as well They have templates that allow you to work with the maximum resolutions of each social network, so there will be no problem with compatibility and video quality when you want to upload a video to a social network. Videos created for a social network can also be adapted and transferred to the dimensions of another, obviously it will have a difference in whether it is horizontal or vertical, but that would depend on the creator and what he wants to show.

Negative: * The text editor is very limited compared to other graphic design tools, it is very simple and cannot be formatted much, although I can make the text have a different shape than usual, which is to be able to curve it and in addition to that animations can be added to the text, this does not mean that it is the perfect text editor for this type of design platform. I understand very well that Canva is oriented to be able to make designs very quickly and without so much effort since it does not have a very complex interface, however, they can add a little more advanced functions that allow the user the freedom to tweak the text as desired. They are the separations or width of it, and also an endless number of tools found in other design platforms. There is no harm in having more tools than just changing the font, colors, orientation and curve, so that on special occasions certain tweaks to the texts will be needed to avoid having to apply certain techniques so that a design remains as the user intends to do.

    * I can't use Canva without an internet connection and it's a bit frustrating because if I want to design something in an environment where I don't have an internet connection, I won't be able to do more than just sketch on paper so that after having the internet I can translate my ideas to Canva as there is no way to use this platform offline.

    * The performance of this platform can be a problem for some users as both the web version and the Windows version tend to freeze if you don't have a computer with decent features that can afford to use Canva and another platform or software running at the same time. time, in the case of the version of browsers you will simply need a computer with enough RAM that at least allows the browser not to be saturated by the resources that Canva needs since it has often happened to me that the tab freezes and everything is lost for "lack of memory". So, it must be considered that the person who will use this platform to carry out any type of design with this platform does not have problems to be able to complete their designs without the browser crashing at any time.

Simple tool to create good designs.

    Date: Jan 04 2023

Summary: In general terms, it has saved me a lot of money for me who is not a professional in design, this was very useful for me since the cost of a graphic designer when taking out the account annually would be expensive, however, with Canva it has come out for much less than the costs you already had when you had hired a graphic designer. I'm not belittling designers as they do a good job, I'm just saying for small businesses that don't have a lot of resources to pay for a designer to do what can be done in Canva, plus it takes a bit of practice to be able to obtain good designs since not everything will turn out perfect the first time.

In my opinion, Canva has been a good solution to maintain a design standard for my company in all aspects, both in the printing of my company's notebooks or diaries, business cards, including the shirt of the employees. With Canvas I have also solved the problem of video presentations since they are more practical when you do not want to be live inside a presentation or you want to send it by email.

Positive: I have the availability to add any image, video, gif or any element for my designs from its wide gallery. This is essential to be able to increase productivity since I can make designs from scratch without needing to know anything about graphic design and also I don't need to do everything from scratch since with the Canva gallery I can have everything in a matter of clicks, it is also that it is very varied and they add more and more multimedia files, this allows my files not to be so repetitive than using the gallery for free or using my own repository with few multimedia files.

I have resolved to be able to work collaboratively with my team thanks to the Canva for Teams plan, with this I was able to add users to help me make certain designs without having to be in the same place. With this I have tried making video calls while discussing with my team about how the final design would look when working collaboratively. It is very easy to know who is adding elements within the layouts and also who has moved certain elements within the canvas.

I liked that you can create designs for printing, it is very good that it has templates for multiple things such as notebooks, company cards, shirts, jackets and even coffee cups. This platform allows me to give a preview of how the final print will look once the designs are finished so I don't worry about the final results before the prints but just go to the top right and select the print preview depending on the template I selected.

There are many templates for the different posts of the different social networks that exist today, even if it is a video for a social network, it is possible to create it thanks to the fact that Canva also has templates for the different resolutions of the different social networks. . With the help of Canva, I can establish a ratio of the different social networks, such as the 9:16 radius for Instagram stories or its different dimensions established for the images in the posts. In addition, with this platform I not only maintain a good radio appearance in the images, but I also maintain the style of my company by being able to save custom templates to use in future posts.

Negative: The video editor is very good, however, it is very limited when it comes to wanting to add more professionalism. I recommend this editor for people who want to make basic videos for presentations that don't require so many details other than some transitions, text, sounds, images and other videos, with cutouts and other basic stuff. For more professional audio effects and more details such as focus and movement of elements are not available in a deep way. I'm not saying that Canva has to commit to adding more features to its video editor, I'm just mentioning it as a negative in case someone looks for Canva's video editor as a professional alternative and it really isn't. It can be similar or more basic than Clipchamp so you have to consider what to edit with the video editor of this platform and what not.

There are certain images that lose their quality when they are reduced or expanded too much. This was annoying because Canva doesn't seem to render images as well as an image editor would. This happened to me several times when I wanted to make custom designs with supposedly good quality images from the gallery of this platform, the solution I have given to this is to work with only vector files from the Canvas gallery or from my own gallery so as not to lose quality when making designs with custom resolutions so that they do not lose their quality when resizing the elements.

Using the Canva Android app is very limiting and constantly crashes, I don't like this as I often use my tablet for multitasking and I want it to be as complete as possible and not crash every time I add multiple elements to my designs . This is cumbersome as I have to go to my computer to finish the designs since I always sketch on my tablet and then do the designs in desktop Canva, but I really want it to work well within the Android app.

Customizing the text is very difficult, as there is a performance drop when entering the text box editor, even adding a text box seems like the whole platform is going to crash. When I want to change the font and there is a lot of text everything starts to work very slow. To be able to edit a text I suffer and I don't understand why since when I am adding high quality images this does not happen, even when I add or edit a video everything happens as if nothing, but with the text it is a total suffering.

Excellent design tool that allows you to perform many functions at the same time.

    Date: Dec 09 2022

Summary: Canva has made it possible for us to have a good design tool, previously we made our slides in Microsoft PowerPoint, however, the way those slides were were not to our liking, since they had a rather old design, for which we agreed to replace that platform with Canva. We do not regret having made that choice, since we are not sorry that we are currently using the platform, on the contrary, we are very grateful due to the great results reported so far, it is another way that has allowed us to create optimal designs for all types of advertising campaigns, in addition, we have created the company logo, we have designed all kinds of images to incorporate in the documents or brochures that we distribute right to these clients, in addition, it has also helped us to show advertising images for each publication that we notify you of social. I really loved this design bouquet, within it, I think it has a lot of potential for any company and allows you to create very good quality slides with an easy-to-use editor.

Positive: Canva is a magnificent service to improve the general design of any company, with the help of this platform you can create various presentations, it would make positive and from scratch and you can also create infographics, edit Videos or create animated images. The things I liked about this platform were:

1.- The main feature that I liked is that it has a great variety of dishes available so that all users can give a different tone to the presentations or slides they are creating, in addition, there are also templates available for the design of all kinds of wolves, and there are also templates for infographics. Without a doubt, the templates help a lot to maximize the design of what is being done, the templates offered by this platform are very professional, although the vast majority of available templates are only available in the paid version.

2.- This platform offers special plans for companies, and offers incredible discounts when many users of your company will use this design platform. I have loved the great plans that this platform offered me, since we have integrated up to more than 300 users within this design platform and we have obtained an incredible discount for paying this platform annually, I really loved the very affordable prices that it offered me.

3.- For computers, this version helps a lot when it comes to editing all kinds of presentations, since it is much more fluid than the web version, in addition, this version for computers allows you to work together with the collaboration of your colleagues, with as only use the plan for companies, you can work together thanks to this application download it for computers, or using the version for mobile devices.

4.- This platform also has an integrated image system or image library, I really love this library because it offers me a wide variety of images depending on what I'm looking for, this library has a built-in search engine, which is capable of to show all kinds of results depending on what you write in that search engine, there is a great variety of images without any type of copyright, therefore, you can use these images freely for everything that is being designed.

Negative: The main criticisms that I have witnessed about this platform were:

1.- The mobile version should be much more used, since currently it only offers image editing, slideshow creation and presentation creation functions, but video editing is not available, within this application it cannot be removed no video, moreover, you can't enjoy creating animated images either, I find this app has very good and professional features for you to design presentations, but it is very necessary for the video editing feature to be implemented, it is very necessary to have this function on the phone.

2.- The web version is not so optimal, since the more you are inserting information into the presentation or slide that you are making, the web version will become a bit slow. I consider that this web version is suitable for those people who are learn to use this platform, however, I do not recommend it at all if you are designing a presentation with a lot of information or editing a video with a lot of quality or elements.

3.- Another of the negative things is that this platform is not suitable for anyone, nor for any computer, the consumption of the version for computers and the web version is quite high, especially if you are editing some type of video, since that at the time of rendering that video when you have completed it, this rendering process consumes a lot of computer resources, therefore, you will not be able to use it for other activities while this process is being reviewed. I recommend that this platform only be used on computers that have a suitable capacity.

It is a very simple but complete graphic design tool.

    Date: Dec 06 2022

Summary: I like this tool because it allowed me to decide on my own the design of certain things that I have done within my company. Typically you should hire an expensive graphic designer who will do the job of doing whatever design is assigned to you the most however this is a bit costly when you don't use the designer as often as you get a good return on investment . With Canva I had no barriers when facing the problems I had when I wanted to create business cards, letters, certificates, even the t-shirts of my company's workers. Likewise, with this platform, without the need to have the same knowledge as a graphic designer, I was able to create posts for social networks, banners and even the design of the emails that we send to our clients. It was just a good investment for my company.

Positive: + I can import any media file into Canva not only from my PC but also from multiple platforms as Canva integrates very well with a large number of websites. This was useful for me because I have multiple images and videos in different places like the Box cloud or Google Photos, so I don't have to go through a lengthy process of exporting and then importing to Canva but can send everything at once to my designs. .

+ Its features is mainly designed for people whose knowledge of graphic design is limited or practically non-existent. So this was rewarding for me because the learning curve for this platform was not as steep as I had hoped. I have seen changes that are taking a step further than simple and easy, but that would be a bit against Canva. Everything else has been a walk being able to navigate within its functions and being able to create designs without any limitations.

+ Canva has templates for multiple designs that are not only focused on social networks but also on printing such as shirts, stickers, cards, certificates, etc. In addition, it not only focuses on the design of flat images, but I can also create gifs, videos or presentations if required. The truth is that this seemed very complete to me because it adapts very well to the type of design that one wants to achieve and this helps a lot when there is a creative block, it is enough to choose what it is going to be designed for and then choose a template to start editing.

+ Its multiplatform is very complete and I mean that both the web version and the version for any available operating system that Canva has are practically the same. So I can choose where I feel like working from which in my case is on the web since I don't have to download anything, but sometimes I also use my iPad to create my designs in case I don't want to be on the PC . I can do all this without feeling limited between one version and another since I have all the functionalities regardless of where I want to do my designs.

+ It has useful tools for people who do not know graphic design and want to start learning and enhance their designs. Within the Canva website there is a “Learn” section where there are blogs with a lot of information regarding the use of color, combination of various typefaces, a better presentation for social media posts and more. In addition, not only this is what Canva offers, but also in the "Learn" section there is a "Designschool" section which has free courses to speed up the learning process that allows good results with the designs. I have used the "Learn" section a lot because there are things that I was not aware of and now my entire creative process has become much easier by having tips that help me make everything more striking and professional looking.

Negative: - It is becoming a tool for professionals, with this I do not want to contradict myself when this tool is for people with little design knowledge, but I have noticed after each update that they have added more features that make it more complex for people who do not we are in the field of graphic design, and this overwhelms me and worries me since before it was more practical to create a post for a social network. However, now it has so many editing tools that simplicity disappears, don't say it's wrong that they add more features that allow the creative freedom of each user who uses Canva, I'm just saying that they should create a section for professionals and for those who They don't have that much design knowledge.

    - The text editor does not have a feature to recommend auto-generated text using pre-indexed words. I have been to several publishing sites and in some I have come across an idea generator that, through a few words that I want to include in the text, generates a text according to the emotion that I want to convey. I know that sounds like a great tool, but currently that is possible and it would also be useful to have that feature in Canva when you have writer's block or need auto-generated text templates to get an idea of the content you want to write within. a post.

    - The basic plans are very limited, this negative point has not affected me, but it has affected those who are not going to use Canva professionally, because if the use of this platform is not going to be projected in the future or it will not be used very much Often it's okay to use Canvas with its free version. On the other hand, if you will use Canvas for a more professional environment in which its use will be more than just simple posts for social networks, then I would recommend buying a plan. I say this from experience as your gallery, editing and template will be very limited in exploiting your creative process, it will also affect the way you export your designs as it will not have all the features you want. So I would recommend considering what you want your ultimate purpose to be and how often you will use this platform based on your needs.

    Feel Confident in Your Design

    Date: Dec 05 2022

Summary: This is the software I tell the most people in my life about. I truly use this in my professional and personal life frequently, and have been very happy with Canva the entire time I have used it.

Positive: It is so easy to learn, and helps you make your materials look good. There is a vast array of design options, and there truly is a plethora of items for free. For the first time, I finally like the way my flyers and infographics look. I've also gotten several compliments and questions on what software I use for my presentations! My secret is always Canva.

Negative: Although the free option is great and has quite a bit for no cost, the paid option is pretty noticeably better. As long as you're okay with paying (a fairly reasonable fee), it is well worth it. The search function took some time for me to get used to and figure out how to best utilize it, so don't be overwhelmed if you can't find what you're looking for right away. I honestly don't have many other cons because the software has worked incredibly well for me!

Buy the full version - it's worth it!

    Date: Nov 10 2022

Summary: Totally worth the money if you're going to do anything at all with design for digital media. It has a lot of options and functionality and makes it much easier to create complicated graphics than you think.

Positive: The free version is amazing if you're making quick images, social media posts, etc and working by yourself, but getting the full version opens options for sharing projects with a team, saving images and colors and projects that you can all work on or work from and gives you a lot more options for more complicated projects. It's worth the money if you're making images for websites or email headers.

Negative: It takes a little while to learn to use all the features (you'll pick up the basics quickly) and when to best use them and the "training" isn't great.

Excellent Design, Photo Editing Software - Accessible Enough for Beginners, Powerful Enough for Pros

    Edited: Oct 31 2022

Summary: Overall, I highly recommend Canva. I love that this powerful online graphic design and photo editing software is available with a large collection of tools available for free. If a user can afford to invest in Canva Pro, I highly recommend it as well, especially if it will be used for business and income-generating purposes. The branding toolkit is particularly useful for businesses and personal brands of all sizes.

I love that Canva is a high-quality all-in-one graphic design and photo editing software that is accessible for beginner design software users yet still useful and enjoyable for advanced users.

Positive: There is a wide variety of graphic design and photo editing tools available on Canva. When I was a beginner to using this software, it was accessible to me, though some of the functionality was tricky to get used to. The features and quality made it highly worth it though. Even the free version of the software allows users a great degree of customization and ability to create and edit designs. Since upgrading to Canva Pro, I have been able to use even more incredible features. I use Canva Pro for business purposes in intranet site administration and design. I use a free personal account for photo editing and social media graphic design. Both serve their purposes very well for me.

Three specific features I really love are the brand toolkit that users can customize (Pro exclusive), the photo editor with a vast range of adjustments and tools available, and the image copy and resize option (Pro exclusive).

Negative: When getting started using Canva a couple of years ago, I was a bit overwhelmed by the tools available, and some of them could be touchy to control or adjust on a smartphone versus on a larger format computer or tablet. It can also be a little tricky to figure out where each customization tool is located on the program when using it on multiple devices. The layout is understandably different on Canva for desktop devices than it is on Canva for mobile phones or tablets. None of these cons are enough to deter me from using or recommending the software. Really, they are expected obstacles with any online design software.

It is a good tool for non-professionals in graphic design.

    Date: Sep 24 2022

Summary: I have been able to create multiple brochures, prints, business cards, posts for my social networks, presentations and even design coffee cups for the company. I have not needed a professional designer at all to carry out all these works mentioned above and much more, I do not want to say that Canva degrades the work of graphic designers, but rather that it makes it easier for those who do not know how in my almost and want use a cheaper and more practical solution than hiring a designer. Thanks to Canva I did not have the need to do everything on my own, but rather we divided the work with others in order to be able to finish the design we were making more quickly and also have feedback on how the final image should be. It should be noted that this platform greatly helps marketing through social networks by being able to create more striking, quality and professional content, they are not just simple images, but with Canva everything is more elaborate, with a very simple platform I have been able to achieve many things without the need to know expensive and complicated design tools that make me waste time just learning.

Positive: º It has a large number of templates that you can use, if you don't know how to start you can choose what your image is intended for and choose the type of image you want to make within the creation of your design. Whether it is for the thumbnail for YouTube or a cover or post for Facebook, all this helps you to automatically select the dimensions and characteristics of the place where you will put your design.

º The gallery of images that you have within this platform is very wide, being able to find almost everything you need without having to buy an image on another platform, without having to make them from scratch and without having to search for it in Google to be able to can it in my designs.

º It is very complete to be able to make any type of design, I cannot compare it with Photoshop, but I can say that it has a large number of functions that I can use to create posts, banners, thumbnails, resumes, presentations, etc. Anything I can think of I can create. I can also add shapes, text, upload my own images, etc. to help complement my design in case something is missing and I have that missing on my computer.

º Its platform is friendly and simple, that's why I can mention that anyone without experience in design can work within this platform without getting lost in the attempt. I like that everything can be done with drag and drop without requiring keyboard shortcuts since everything is visually placed so that in a couple of clicks you can add or edit the elements that will make up the image you are designing.

º I can work collaboratively in case of having to face large editing projects. I can include my entire team so I can have help when I need to do a large number of designs or edit a single design with multiple people so I can get better feedback on how they like the final edit to look.

Negative: º I would like it to have an offline mode in some way since this platform is entirely online, so if you don't have an internet connection, you probably won't be able to carry out your design ideas. It would be nice if it could be installed like any software for Windows or Mac and thus allow you to continue creating or editing a design without the need and obligation of being able to have an internet connection.

º It does not have shape cutouts, I have tried everything to make that type of cutout and not just the aspect ratio cutout. I would like to be able to have that type of function or an option that can cut freely and be able to cut the cuts that I want with the shapes and measures that I want and thus make it more practical to cut an image and paste it in some design in which I am working.

º To be an easy-to-use design platform for any experienced or inexperienced user, video editing seems to exceed that ease as its editing features are too limited. It doesn't even measure up to Microsoft's old Movie Maker and knowing that it has very basic functions, however, the Clipchamp app for Windows is much more complete and easier to use than the editor that comes with Canva.

º It has a limit with the size of the image that can be uploaded, apparently it does not work very well with large image sizes and it is annoying to have to go to another design platform just to be able to reduce the image size, wasting time. It could be useful if it had an internal size converter that allows you to do this type of thing without having to resort to external platforms to do this type of work and thus I do not need to leave Canva since all my design can be done there.

º I would like the icons or vectors to be ordered according to their classification and not only show me a bunch of images in the results which I have to search for one by one, making the creative design process more tedious by having to search for something similar that I need to put inside my designs.

Excellent graphic design software for all levels

    Date: Aug 19 2022

Summary: Overall I love using Canva in both its free version for personal use and the pro subscription at my job. My organization creates all its print, social and website graphics through Canva because of the multiple platform-specific templates. The ability to create custom sized documents in inches or pixels is excellent for working with our website build, and we have recently moved the design of our print newsletter in-house partially because of the ease of building it in Canva's platform. Overall, this is an excellent design software for the price and with the ability to add team members, one person can have a pro subscription for the entire organization, making the cost very reasonable for a solution our entire design and marketing team can use. On a personal level, I use the free version of Canva to create my own social media posts and some freelance graphic design work, and have found it more than adequate for what I need to use it for in my personal work.

Positive: Easy to use on-stop platform to design any social media, print, or website graphics, ability to collaborate on projects with a team, large selection of stock photos and graphics, easy to use customization options, ease of uploading graphics and elements, ability to resize designs for multiple platforms.

Negative: Learning curve of using some of the editing features, many features, fonts and stock photos locked to the Pro option only, layer editing can be difficult if using many small elements in a design, often click on and drag the wrong item in a build that uses multiple layered elements.
