Map3D is a self-contained 3D stress analysis tool that allows for quick, easy model building and visualization. Map3D's ability to handle a wide variety of 3D problems is what sets it apart from other analysis tools. The built-in CAD functionality allows for the creation of complex, large, and fully 3D problems. Combining both FF elements and DD elements allows simulations of 3D excavations that include intersecting fractures and shear planes. Map3D supports plastic Fault-Slip as well as 3D rock-mass plasticity. All versions of Map3D have compatible input files, which allows for easy upgrades to more advanced capabilities.
