Macaw AMS Description

Macaw AMS can be used to sell Insurance. Macaw AMS can be used by brokers, MGAs or MGUs, Program Managers, and Lloyds Coverholders to automate their operations.

Macaw AMS was built with a customer-centric approach. It supports CRM, Sales and Underwriting. Customers, producers, and service providers can access self-service portals.

Macaw AMS has built-in Document Management and Task Management capabilities. It is equipped with adaptors that allow for integrated and in-flow services such as eSignature, Payments, OFAC checks, Mass Emailing, Computer Telephony, and Mass Emailing, using 3rd Party Services.

The data analytics part of Macaw AMS offers powerful data visualization with predefined dashboards, allowing users to easily upload datasets and view dynamic charts for clear, multi-dimensional insights. Interactive, real-time visualizations help uncover trends and insights, driving informed decision-making.

Macaw AMS is hosted on cloud and tested for cybersecurity. The database is relational, and the core components of the Java-based application are written in Java. Macaw AMS is capable of processing 500-1000 policies per day at its peak.

    Macaw - a true partner

    Summary: A true partnership and I feel like I have made friends and family for life. Macaw does not disappoint.

    Positive: It took us months to settle on an MGA software vendor whom we felt would be a good fit. We hit the jackpot with Macaw! While we are more than halfway through our development software customization, the level of service & support we have received has been exceptional. I do not feel that we would have received this hands on service from any other provider. The development team is highly responsive & collaborative, and beyond patient while we had difficulty defining our workflows that fit our business rather than forcing us into a one-size-fits-all solution. Their willingness to actually listen, problem solve, and provide hands-on guidance has made the onboarding experience smooth and productive. Technology to us is very important but support and partnership are what truly differentiate vendors. We have found a true partner in Macaw. and we look forward to a long and successful partnership. Do not hesitate to reach out to them, they will not disappoint!

    Negative: In case you are not aware, like I was not aware in the beginning, developing and working with a MGA software vendor is very hands on! MGA software is not out-of-the-box and you will need to put time and energy into working with your developer to customize to your workflows. This can take several months. I recommend really defining your workflows beforehand and having them ready as much as possible. I was not prepared but Macaw helped me every single step of the way.

    Going with Macaw was the best decision!

    Summary: After we had been live a few months our company owner asked me are you glad you went with Macaw. I responded, "without a doubt".
    Going with Macaw has revolutionized our processes.
    With Macaw we are issuing policies and invoices almost real time. We do in a couple of minutes what used to take hours.
    Because of Macaw we are poised to double our business without adding any new employees.

    Positive: Everything!
    Macaw has turned out to be more than we hoped for.
    Great team with Nest.
    The customization ability of Macaw and the great job Nest has done in helping us with all the customizations we have done.

    Negative: Looking back, I should have spent more time test driving Macaw and thinking through our customization. The process would have been smoother, but I would have slowed down the process which would have taken longer to start using Macaw. So, it is a toss-up.

    Summary: In my 2 years of using Macaw, it is one of the most customizable products I have used. Once you understand how Macaw works, it is very manageable to use. I do not believe that the learning process to use the system is that long either. The development team is very helpful with explaining how the system works, and answers any queries we have about the system. They are also able to manipulate the product to satisfy our needs, even with the most complex enhancements.

    Positive: This product is very helpful with the our team's daily operations. The development team has ben very helpful with bug fixes and enhancement to improve the product to our business needs. The product is very customizable, so they are many ways to utilize the system.

    Negative: One improvement could be the timing of dashboards when we try to retrieve information. If there was a way in which the dashboard speed can be improved, that would be very helpful.
