MOLE is a built-in macOS tool designed for examining and managing user application cache folders specifically on Apple Silicon Macs that operate with macOS 14 or newer. This utility performs local cache scans and displays sizes and paths of folders, allowing users to easily compare entries, search through the list, and locate the folders in Finder prior to making decisions about what to delete. Users can initiate scanning without any activation, but to move selected folders to the Trash, a paid license and online verification are necessary. The cleanup process requires users to select and confirm their choices, and it is important to note that MOLE does not empty the Trash, meaning that any files moved will still occupy storage space until the user manually clears it.
