Summary: Having Lynx has been a game changer for our district. We are getting more accurate pickup times, we are implementing more of the options that come with the software, and Joe and Anna have been great to work with, they don't dump a lot on at one time, they walk you through things, and seem to know when to share more things with you. They get you all set up how you want it and are always wiling to help more or walk you through other options. For being smaller they seem to out work the others.
There is never a fee for a question or for their help, they back up what they say and what they make is great routing software.Positive: The ease of use.
Ability to create route options without tearing down other routes.
Quick response when needing help or have questions.
Joe & Anna willing to help set things up and then walking you through what was done and how it was done.
Always making improvements.Negative: The only Con is that the software does not come with School Bus Drivers. If it came with 2 or 3 drivers this would be the best software routing system in the world.

In all seriousness, I have not found one Con yet, we might only be in the honeymoon phase, but I don't see it going down, I only see the potential that we have been shown so far. -

Summary: Very satisfied in the capabilities of the software, the Lynx team and the overall Lynx solution. Would highly recommend.
Positive: Excellent customer service.
Software is very user friendly and the lynx staff is always available to help and train.Negative: The software is missing a way to record attendance directly from drivers to lynx other than the student ID cards. From my understanding this is being added.

Summary: I was first introduced to the Lynx software in 2006 when I started out as a bus driver. I found the maps & route sheets easy to follow. I then started working with the routing features in 2021 as a dispatcher. There are many features to Lynx. When I have a question, Joe & Anna are quick to respond.
Positive: Very dependable and reliable routing software program. Joe and Anna are amazing to work with. If I have a question they respond right away. Their customer services is amazing. Lynx is easy to use and Joe and Anna walk you through all set-up needs, DPI student reporting and route consolidations. Lynx is located in Wisconsin, so they are familiar with all types of weather conditions and the terrain.
Negative: Not having the parents app set-up. We utilize another GPS system to have the parents app and the GPS monitoring of the buses. Joe has been amazing to work with having the two systems talk with each other.

Best Tech Support EVER! Date: Feb 19 2024
Summary: Lynx has been such a useful tool that it has become part of the culture of our entire school district. Since automating the data flows between Infinite Campus and Lynx, student information is easily uploaded to Lynx and student routing information is easily sent to Infinite Campus. With the advent of product availability as a Cloud service, I no longer have to worry about patch and software updates, backups, and security. Lynx does an incredible job taking care of these vital issues for us!
Positive: Lynx provides the best tech support I have ever utilized! In over 25 years as a school district CIO, Technology Director, Technology Coordinator, and Director of Transportation, I have never encountered such expert, timely, and willing tech support. In my transportation position, I am often up working very early in the morning prior to drivers arriving. In my early days utilizing the software suite, I'd send a quick email and invariably my phone would ring with an expert on the other end of the phone! A quick fix or explanation and I was on my way to getting my completed! At one point, we transition from being a locally hosted service to moving to the cloud. The transition was seamless! At another point, I wanted to automate student information and routing information to transfer to and from Infinite Campus to Lynx and back again. Lynx tech support worked directly with Infinite Campus and we had this automation completed in less than a week!
Negative: There have been so many improvements over the years, I simply cannot think of one thing I do not like.

Summary: Lynx software has been an asset to our school district. Joe and Anna are very good to work with. They are readily available whenever I have a problem or need help doing something with the software.
Positive: Great customer service. Software is user friendly. DPI reports are a breeze with the help of Joe and Anna.
Negative: I have been using the software for 11 years and have yet to see a negative side of it.

Summary: I would highly recommend this software and am very thankful for the outstanding customer service Joe has provided!
Positive: Lynx software is easy to use and is vital in our daily tasks at our school district. If I ever have a question or need assistance at learning how to do a task, I am contacted quickly and help is immediately provided. As busy as the school year can be , I was always made a priority so that our district could continue to operate smoothly.

Summary: Very quick response time to questions and helpful. We needed to figure out routing for approximately 500 students in a short amount of time, Joe and Anna knocked it out of the ballpark with the extremely fast turnaround time!
I have worked with Joe for over 20 years with Lynx and have always had a positive experience.Positive: Program is very user friendly and easy to learn. The tutorial's that are included make it easy to refresh your memory on things you may not use all the time and also to teach someone how to use the program.
Negative: Mapping unfortunately has a hard time recognizing some of our fire numbers that are used for addresses.

Summary: Being a larger student transport company we have access to a variety of programs that have overlapping features. Lynx is hands-down my favorite go-to program. I appreciate the layout, features, and exceptional customer assistance. Time spent learning all Lynx has to offer is rewarded with a streamlined, accessible, and efficient student, driver, & fleet system.
Positive: Everything I need to facilitate student transport at my fingertips. From Lynx I can manage my fleet, drivers, charters, students, routes, calendars, and mapping – even the weather conditions are readily available on the fly! Customer service is amazing. Noob questions are always answered with patience and encouragement. Assistance is always fast and comprehensive.
Negative: As with any high featured program, there’s a bit of a learning curve to become truly proficient with Lynx. That being said, the desktop is loaded with step-by-step videos to refresh the memory on occasionally used features or to get newbies up and running. Plus, customer service is only an email or phone call away.

Student Management Software with a Bonus Date: Oct 01 2020
Summary: I have been using this software for many years now. I wouldn't call myself an expert on it, however I would say I am quite confident in my abilities. Lynx always gets me what I need to do my job. I love that I don't have to use every part of Lynx and it doesn't affect the other modules. This is smart.
Positive: The bonus is the people behind the software. Whenever you call to ask a question you get a live person who usually knows you by name. Joe and Anna are excellent at listening and solving your problems and always take the time to make sure you know how to use Lynx to suit your needs. The software is also constantly being improved and refined.
Negative: As with anything a person can always find things that they don't like about a product. For me there isn't anything that I can truly list as a "con" as every time I have had a concern or question, it has been addressed and solved.

Summary: I highly recommend Ryte Byte's Lynx software to anyone broaching the subject of doing a search for their transportation needs. Of all the good things the software does for us, no vendor of any product or software we use is as attentive and thorough as Joe and his team. I am always overwhelmed by their helpfulness and their willingness to spend time on our requests.
Positive: Everything about Lynx suits our needs completely. The software's price, its record keeping ability, the excellent service, and the ease of operation make looking for alternatives a moot issue. I love everything about this software.
Negative: I can't come up with and disappointments I have ever had with Lynx, and its programming gives me all I ever need for our public school transportation operation.
