Lyn for macOS, a lightweight media viewer and browser, is designed for web designers, graphic artists, and photographers. Lyn offers a versatile and attractive interface that allows you to share your photos with ease. Lyn natively supports all major image formats, including standard formats, HDR and RAW, as well as any other image format that macOS supports. It integrates a movie player that allows you to view your camera recordings, as well as a PDF viewer. The new editing inspector makes it easy to transform your photos into great ones. You can adjust the exposure, color temperature and brightness or reveal details with highlight, shadow, and contrast. You can adjust the individual levels and curves, or you can change colors selectively. You can experiment with your color photos and convert them to black and white. Or you can add a vignette border, film grain, or classic sepia tone.

Shotwell supports JPEG and PNG as well as TIFF, BMPs, GIFs, WebP, GIF, WebP, and RAW photo files. Shotwell currently only supports RAW formats. A RAW photo is a JPEG that has been created from the RAW photograph. The RAW editing pipeline does not support 16-bit images. You can only export edited photos as eight-bit files.
