LabKey LIMS Description

LabKey LIMS is a configurable laboratory information management system for life science research, biobanking, and regulated lab environments. Built on an open platform with a full API, it handles sample tracking, workflow automation, instrument data integration, storage management, and audit trail logging.

Define sample types, custom fields, storage hierarchies, and workflows through the interface or via API. Build multi-step workflows that route samples automatically, capture data at each stage, and log every action with a timestamp. Connects to instruments and third-party systems including ELNs and external databases, reducing manual data entry and transcription errors.

Supports 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP compliance out of the box. Every create, update, and delete is logged: who, what, and when. Extend or integrate using LabKey's REST API. Available cloud-hosted or on-premise, with SSO support via standard authentication protocols.
