Keystone Wallet Description

We have eliminated malware infiltration risks by using QR code transmissions. This has allowed us to deliver a level of transparency that isn't possible via Bluetooth or USB. Find out how to verify every transmission that enters or leaves the Keystone. Secure Element, a proprietary bank-grade security element, ensures that your private keys are never lost from the Keystone. The Secure Element generates an authentic random number for your private key and is essential to ensure your crypto assets are kept in the most secure manner possible. Open source firmware that is compliant with BIP32, BIP39 and BIP44 is also available. Keystone pioneered the first open-source Secure Element firmware for hardware wallets. It allows you to see how private key derived from physical generated entropy (TRNG), and it remains completely contained within the Secure Element. Open source are our hardware wallet application layer (circuit diagram), device schematic (circuit diagram) and bill of materials(BOM).

    Drop Ledger, Try Keystone!

    Edited: Dec 16 2022

Summary: The first choice of a hardware wallet, I'm looking forward to their 3rd generation could surprise me more!

Positive: Metamask is by far the best option for DeFi but hot wallets are very risky by nature. Luckily there are several hardware wallet options for Metamask PC/Mac (Trezor and Ledger being the most popular). However, neither of those 2 companies work with Metamask mobile. This is where Keystone shines. Now you have the ability to use Metamask on the go but keep your DeFi assets safely protected by the Keystone hardware wallet. Integration with Metamask is excellent and now I am safe knowing my Metamask wallet won't be hacked.

Negative: The battery system needs to be upgraded.

    Highly recommended

    Edited: Dec 14 2022

Summary: The Keystone wallet is pretty solid, and I can feel that they really care about the security of users' assets and user experience, since they have done so much work to make the product as secure as possible: QR code, Web Authentication, Self-destructive mechanism, a big touchscreen, and so on.
Definitely my first choice of a hardware wallet.

Positive: 1. The QR code is a great way to make sure that the Keystone wallet is not connected to the internet.
    2. Confirming the recovery phrase is one of a kind experience, way much better than other hardware wallets I used before.
    3. Open-source nature of their Secure Element makes me feel safe when I create a new wallet.

Negative: The number of coins they support is limited right now, but it seems that they have been integrating with many soft wallets on various chains in the past few months.

    Fully integrated with MetaMask

    Edited: Nov 08 2022

Summary: Very nice device, it is highly recommended by the BTC and other hardcore community. The team is actively taking advice from communities.

    Positive: 100% Air gapped,
    Fully integrated with MetaMask,
The only hardware wallet supported by MetaMask mobile.
The 4-inch screen makes it very user friendly and make the transaction more transparent.
    Solved blind-signing.
    Support are very reactive.

Negative: Company app doesn't support swap, the team believe the future of blockchain is a multi-chain one, therefore, the team is aiming at become the extra security layer of all the popular software wallets.
