Great technical project management tool Date: Jan 12 2022
Summary: Overall a great tool for what it is, but a huge complaint of mine is that you almost need a degree in JIRA to be able to set up things on the backend. However as a front end user (who gets assigned tickets) it's easy to pick up and use.
Positive: * Easy to create tickets
* Allow for delegation
* Email notifications are good
* Has reporting options built inNegative: * Complex naming structures (epics, stories, etc)

* Admin on the backend is unnecessarily complex and a pain to set up -

Jira is the best software for project tracking Date: Jul 22 2021
Summary: We have been able to use Jira in all labor departments of our company, so that everyone is ahead of every project that is carried in that section and can have the right knowledge when it is required in the project. We track tickets quickly and reliably and give assurance to the client that everything will be answered in the shortest possible time.
Positive: With Jira we have the ability to track the ticket status of each of our projects from anywhere, either from the web or mobile. It has also allowed us to easily create dashboards to manage the status of our company's projects, as well as IT projects.
Negative: It is necessary to improve the integrations with other software, for example, with Service Now, since this integration is quite deficient, if it is achieved that in the next update is configured and fixed this interface will begin to improve and the work will be more bearable.

With Jira we can keep all our staff active Date: Apr 22 2021
Summary: With Jira all the scheduling and information recording applications are kept unified, and the software is designed so that everything that is done during the work can be kept secure, it is even being updated and there is a lot of movement by the team. We love being able to create tasks and subtasks so easily, as they make the work spread out better.
Positive: Jira allows us to prioritize the activities we choose, and follow up on them to review their status if necessary. We can also carry out the team's ideas first hand, through video calls in case we are working with any API to integrate with call software, and we can make comments to the deliverables of each colleague.
Negative: Jira in general terms is a good software, but it tends to retain the work of some employees, who upload the progress data of their work and these take time to appear for the rest of the project, which makes it difficult to make daily reports, or group planning using sprint methods. The diagrams are not so extensible.

Jira is a good way to validate group work Date: Apr 01 2021
Summary: Jira is a software that can become indispensable in certain cases, such as those where tasks with certain levels of priority are needed, or where a project approach is required where the most important thing is the collaboration of all the components in the group. Jira is a good software to cover developments from the beginning.
Positive: In jira task assignments can be done in different ways, and the most convenient is to be able to create mini assignments individually, so that it is easy to know which assignment has been given to each person in the group, or if we wish, we can set up our own teams where multiple assignments are valid.
Negative: Jira does not provide us with enough methods or view modes for the boards, which limits our way of organizing them to distribute the work points. It is not possible to follow up on negative comments, or in any case, dissatisfaction comments, made by those within the group.

Jira has helped us grow as developers Date: Mar 26 2021
Summary: We have been fascinated to be able to have backlog management tools whose information we can include in our reports, and in turn add these reports to the cloud for review by the leaders of each project. Jira is a good initiative to learn powerful group work mechanisms.
Positive: Jira is a platform specialized in short and long term developments of mobile or desktop software, with the function of being oriented towards administrative editing, where you can configure the parameters of the team of technical developers. With the free plan we have managed to work with special dashboards, and we have covered ten jobs (the maximum of this plan). Jira is perhaps the program for projects with more possibilities of being applied during the training and development stages of a proposal, which is enough for it to be recommended in large projects, since the process of developing a platform from scratch includes many stages, which are easier to cover using Jira.
Negative: When using the free version of jira there were some tools that we did not manage to work with, such as the function for anonymous accessibility to job reports and audit reports. It would be potentially beneficial to get at least temporary free samples of these features. The amount of internal memory in jira free is very low, 2 GB.

Jira is excellent for bug tracking Date: Mar 19 2021
Summary: Jira can be used for large projects that involve dozens of complex tasks, from one stage to the execution stage, a group of people dealing with these tasks. This solution can be simplified by using Jira's combination of Scrum and Kanban. In addition, there is a to-do list to remind you to complete all tasks in large projects. For us, it makes a difference in the following areas: teamwork, adoption of agile methods, shortening time to market for new projects / new features, and overall team spirit. We have also seen widespread adoption in other departments, not related to software development.
Positive: In the past, we have used several bug tracking tools, but so far, Jira is the best. Among the main features is the interface, it is very easy to use and it provides a pleasant user experience, it has an agile SCRUM / kanban ready to use support, it is also highly configurable in almost everything, it has many custom scripts available through integration or add-ons and extensions, there are thousands of add-ons in the market.
Negative: Pricing is based on the number of users, although that can be a PRO. With such a flexible setup, the learning curve for administrators is a bit steep. If you get widespread user adoption in a large enterprise, the cost to upgrade to the next level will be higher than when you first paid for that level.

When it comes to application development, Jira is a cost-effective tool Date: Mar 18 2021
Summary: By purchasing jira we are given a tool to track all stages of development within each project we work on. Jira provides a dashboard to work on where all the information published about the project (usually the latest updates) is shared to different external services, and can be edited outside the platform to be uploaded again later, which in the end is a sign of total freedom over the management of the content used to work.
Positive: Jira's work system is organized by applying tasks and sub-tasks, which works well in group management because it helps to identify which work goals have been met and who has completed them. Recommended for developing applications whose base is already created in software in other development softwares, as Jira has support for many of these platforms.
Negative: Although the entirety of the annotations about the development of our project is managed within jira, there are a few external cloud hosting systems that cannot integrate with jira, making it useless to export our information to these services. The resolution to this is that Jira still has support for many file sharing services, so by being aware of which platforms cannot be added to the management, there will be no inconvenience. Other than this, no other usability issues have been found within the Jira platform.

Prioritize and discuss your team's work in a complete context with full visibility Date: Mar 18 2021
Summary: We use the platform to have a better tracking of errors, problems we have had within the organization, also for project management activities. It gives all team members a clear view of what the problem is, how to track it and provides the necessary steps to solve the issue.
Positive: Jira allows us to organize ideas remotely, getting a relatively simple picture of a complex system, this platform offers effective task tracking and personalized planning, with a scalable evolution that adapts to the comfort of all team members, obtaining a clear structure and prioritizing tasks. Jira includes a lot of options to manage projects in our own way, so we feel comfortable using it. It combines in a quite effective way the traditional goal-oriented project management and combine it with a more current approach of agile methodologies more dynamic and open to discussions.
Negative: The platform offers a free 7-day limited version of the standard software. Jira's license is considered to be too high and expensive for start-ups. Its interface is somewhat complex for new users who do not have a good command of the software and tends to become a bit tedious.

Jira: always keeps our employees active in their development work Date: Mar 17 2021
Summary: Organizing, annotating and scheduling is usually a very late task, and if an accident happens with the annotations and other project contents, important ideas and time can be lost. With Jira that can change, as the software is designed exclusively so that work is always kept safe and moving, no idea or suggestion is left aside as we can create tasks and subtasks at all times. In the long run there will be fewer problems, as you can keep perfect track of them and their history in the development process.
Positive: The platform allows us to prioritize certain activities and constantly track their status. In addition, we can manage our ideas through conferences (if we are working with integrations) and it is also possible to make surveys and comments. It also gives us a predictive analysis in the market to know how sales of our products are being handled. The platform is highly recommended for its management of all types of marketing activities for application development projects: Jira helps to keep the launch of each project organized from the beginning, and is perfect for defining and tracking the objectives to be met during each process.
Negative: The platform as a whole is excellent, but in some details it retains the working modalities for some people, since the application does not allow us to make daily reports or plan activities in sprint. In addition, it does not provide us with the much used Gantt chart that usually helps the team to properly manage the time resources behind their activities.

BEST TASK MANAGEMENT TOOL Date: Jun 21 2020
Summary: We are using this software to assign issue/ requirements to our product team developers. Based on on our requirement we fix the priority and our development team works on the basis of priority. Different users can comment inside the issue ticket, which itself is good feature to discuss in case of any doubt. It helped us a lot to organise all issues related to our products.
Positive: 1. You can use to list and assign issues/tickets to the concerned team.
2. Different priority can be set for each task based on your need.
3. The status of any task can be easily traced by looking for the issue ticket position. Viz - IN-PROGRESS, DONE, NOT STARTED.
4. Reports - it has very good reporting function, which can be used to export the Real time status of of tickets under under different headers.Negative: The software is very powerful and full of features but it can not easy to use for novice users. Migrating all data from this platform is not easy due to its complex nature.

The go-to enterprise product for agile/scrum Date: Jun 04 2020
Summary: It gets the job done and is the best option for keeping track of large software development efforts, but no one probably actually loves using it.
Positive: Jira is used at most fortune 500 enterprise software companies. Pretty much every day you'd have a scrum meeting that lasts at least fifteen minutes, and Jira is the dashboard / platform where you can see what you're supposed to complete for the week, list any problems you encounter, which phase you're in [development, test, etc], and how quickly the team is moving. The design is rather bland and widely copied, it's the default SaaS dashboard design that you get with things like Workday too. But that means its familiar and easy to pick up on.
Negative: I'm going to be honest, most software engineers aren't going to say they love Jira. It's like your daily vitamin pill, you take it out of necessity, because it helps prevent other things from getting out of hand and going downhill. Product owners and managers and scrum masters might like it, but I've also seen firsthand hour long meetings to hash out what belongs in the next sprint. So take that as you will.

Powerful but complex Date: Dec 02 2019
Summary: I've used jira for a long time and it solid, but also can be confusing and frustrating sometimes too.
Positive: JIRA is well known and has tons of integrations and features, you can make it do pretty much anything
Negative: There are so many options and layers of abstraction it can be quite a beast to figure out how to make something the way you want it. Or how to fix something when its not working right.
