Control which of the six orientations each item type may take, rather than a single rotate-or-not flag. Write your own rules, selecting items by any property you send, including custom columns and derived values such as density or longest side. When the goal is not simply volume, compose the cost function yourself.
Equipment is modelled as it really is: mezzanine decks, internal walls and corner posts each carrying their own load limit; tapered contours for trailer noses and sloping ULD ceilings; extendable trailers where the solver decides when the extension is needed. Group a truck and trailer, or a whole aircraft or vessel, and plan them as one unit.
There is a full REST API behind all of it. Post cargo and equipment as JSON and get back every container used with the position and rotation of each item; calculate synchronously or asynchronously; move, insert and remove items and repack around the change.
