Horizon by Harmony Description

Horizon is a cross-chain bridge that allows exchange of crypto assets (e.g., fungible/non-fungible tokens, stablecoins) between Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain and Harmony blockchains. Horizon's primary purpose is to allow assets to be transferred from Ethereum (or Binance Smart Chain to Harmony). Users can exchange assets held on Ethereum (or Binance smart Chain) to Harmony (1:1). Horizon allows users to redeem the exchanged assets back into their Ethereum (or Binance Smart Chain account) at any time. A pool of validators that listens for events on the Harmony bridge smart contract and Ethereum. The pool of validators validates a token lock action on Ethereum blockchain and relays the finalized information onto the Harmony blockchain. Here, the same amount is minted as a bridged token. The pool of validators validates a bridged token burning event on Harmony blockchain and relays the finalized information.
