Summary: I like Hive because of the ease of use of the peakd.com frontend, the free and super fast (3sec.) transactions, the interactive and engaged community, the (mostly) respectful communication, the variety of content, and last not least the possibility to earn money while blogging and curating ("liking") other's content.
Plus it is censorship-free. Nobody can (shadow)ban you on Hive!

Positive: - censorship-free blogging which earns you money
- various front-ends, e.g. some especially suited for mobile usage
- built-in wallet and easy to use wallet addresses (not those cryptic 64 letter/number-combos), but your name is your wallet address, that simple!
- built-in financial tools like a stable coin with currently 20% APR, if you park your money there
- multiple apps included, from gaming to Defi

Negative: Hard to find any significant cons;
The chat function (of peakd) is sometimes lagging or down, but Hive is not primarily a chat tool anyhow

Summary: It is a great place, Hive has helped out in real life. That alone gives Hive my outmost loyalty, and respect. Things are not perfect, but what is? This is a Blockchain of people. There is a lot being figured out, and I have trust those who are behind development will eventually have something that is close to perfect.

Positive: Many front end options to access the Chain. There is even a cannabis front end, where you earn the Hive Engine Token called Weed! That alone sets Hive apart from the rest. But that is just a very small part of the Hive Ecosystem, there are many great games, and even more being built! Great content gets recognized, and if you try, you will succeed.

Negative: Spammers. With Hive being worth the most than any of the other platforms tokens, comes people who want to scam. Luckily there is a down vote button that takes care of that. Also there is a bit of a learning curve starting out, but those who like a challenge will appreciate that aspect, like myself.

Summary: Hive is best Decentralized blockchain that solves all the financial problem and find easy way to transaction. Hive had been a platform that help people on and outside the chain. It more than blogging, it one of the platform that helped people all around the world. You can see many offline project sponsored by hive blockchain, which I never see any other blockchain adopt this method.

Positive: Hive is best web3 technology upon layer 2 that involves many features. Many community with variety of project, SPT play-to-earn, blog, vote and earn.

Negative: There is nothing bad about changing the world with hive, hive is another UN style to the world. We're all satisfied with is privacy.

Summary: Hive has been an incredible learning experience. After wandering from web3 project to web3 project (trying to find something to really dig into), I found Hive. No fees made it very approachable, but the breadth and depth of communities and dApps is what really cemented it for me.

I've connected with wonderful, generous, innovative, and ingenious folks from all walks of life. There are exciting and established projects (e.g. Splinterlands, the Hive Blog) as well as small and vibrant ones (e.g. Hive Pizza, Rising Star, Actifit). In a few short months, I've been able to rediscover my love of fiction and find a home for some dusty works through a brand new project (Scholar and Scribe).

People in these reviews seem upset about 'whales hurting earnings' and 'censorship...' and while there's not much you can do stop an individual's vindictiveness, there are so. many. ways. to contribute, flourish, create (and receive) value, even if you've somehow picked up a powerful adversary.

I am so excited to see what Hive grows into over the coming years!

Positive: You get out of Hive what you put into it, both in terms of community value and actual, tokenized value. Like any online community (or collection thereof), there'll be a ton of lurkers, many regulars, and a handful of power users.

Connect this reality with the power of custom economies through decentralization and smart contracts, and you have the makings of an online revolution. Hive is special in this regard due to have no fees—meaning actions (transactions) suffer from much less friction than other blockchain-based projects.

Hive also makes it easy to move value between itself and other chains through the Layer 2 Hive Engine (or more directly through the Blocktrades dApp).

Negative: The learning curve for anything web3 is currently pretty steep. It's tough to think of ways to onboard new folks.

In some Hive based projects, the UX/UI is terribly clunky (some, not all!)

I feel like Hive does a poor job of marketing itself, despite having access to a multimillion dollar fund! Hopefully this will change over time :)

Summary: Best place to be, feels like a family with all the communities that are built on Hive and offers anyone a place to grow.

Positive: Hive is the best Web 3.0 platform empowered by amazing communities which are building great projects.

Negative: Need more exposure and presence on centralized and decentralized exchanges for HIVE and HBD cryptocurrencies.

Summary: It is a perfect platform that I can recommend everyone if they want to have free speech + earn crypto.

Positive: Hive ecosystem has many projects from crypto blogging to De-Fi, Game-Fi (Splinterlands) + Earn incredible Rewards!

Negative: Actually there is no disadvantage of Hive project as it is developed by talented people + enriched by dedicated community.

Summary: So far so good. I have now been here for some time and I try to stay as active as I can and earn a few extra bucks.

Positive: Good that we earn while learning. It has many other frontends where users can earn extra layer tokens.

Negative: Hmm, it does take some time for some users to get exposure.

Summary: A great decentralized blockchain with a great community! So many things to explore like games, blogging, video hosting etc.

Positive: Fast, free, truly decentralized, great community and you earn some free $ for blogging about your hobbies! Some great games too like Splinterlands!

Negative: It's a bit hard to make a name for yourself at first if you you are a total newbie.

Summary: If you are interested in crypto, seek a crypto inclined community or want to try one of the leading crypto games like Splinterlands, Hive is the blockchain 2 go.

Positive: Hive is the first true blockchain-based social media, crypto gaming and DeFi platform. It's a fast blockchain with 3 second blocktime and free transactions which makes it especially suitable for social, NFT and gaming apps.

Negative: It's a bit more complicated to use than traditional web2 social media sites, but adds the benefit of censorship-resistance and the possibility to earn crypto for blogging, curating content, or by using one of the many apps and games the blockchain offers.

Summary: I recommend you check it out and your life will never remain the same again. Want the best of decentralized social media, Hive is your guy.

Positive: It’s decentralized and it’s a social media platform with no censorship. It’s the combination of social media and Defi.

Negative: I can’t find any con of using it ever since I have been using it, is addiction a con?

Summary: I really enjoy hanging out on Hive and with the community. Earning some crypto blogging and playing games.

Positive: lots of community, games, and things to do. I have been here since before the fork. The community is the best part.

Negative: Didn't hear about it sooner, while I have been here a long time, a few months earlier I would have been around during the creation.

Summary: It is 10 out of 10, after all. Nothing comes close on Hive in terms of decentralization aspect. Bitcoin and Hive is only two crypto project which is marching the true meaning of decentralization.

Positive: Hive is the best decentralized alternative against Legacy Social Media. It is censorship-resistant with a strong and resilient community which is the reason this blockchain is thriving. Having working technology is good, but having a community who truly believes on this protocol is awesome.

Negative: The community is still small compared on Web 2 Social Media like Facebook and Twitter but when people start to realize the importance of free-speech, I am expecting this problem will only be part of the history.

Summary: The only blockchain and ecosystem I have full faith in when it comes to my time and money. With Hive there are no risks that some CEO will terminate the project on a whim; Hive is highly stable and can be used, built on and invested in with confidence.

Positive: Hive is the only DPoS fully-decentralized blockchain in the world. Its fee-less with 3 sec blocks. The system is fully-transparent and designed for ease of access. Everything is modular as far as blockchain tech can be and due to that can fit any application without undue resource allocation.

Negative: Decentralization in terms of ecosystem and contributor sync isn't easy but is worth it.

Summary: Been on it 4 years now and love it! I've increased my investment by over 10 times. I like the decentralized feature the most. Keeps the private "fact-checking" and biased filtering out of the mix.

Positive: Censor free. The Decentralized model means no biased "fact-checkers" editing or blocking your posts. One of the few blockchain where you can increase your holdings by voting and posting. Like getting paid to cruise those other social media platforms. Can earn even if price goes down and then keep earning that expands even more when price goes back up!

Negative: User interface is better using Ecency or PeakD front ends.
Can be complicated to setup initial account. Ecency makes that easier!

Summary: Excellent. There are a few annoyances, but that's called being in an imperfect world. I use the PeakD front-end for the Hive blockchain and navigate with ease through all my creating, scheduling, and placing my rewards where they can grow with ease ... every little piece of effort is honored and multiplied! I am actively introducing Hive to others as well!

Positive: Hive provides a place to truly stretch out on my FULL creativity, and gave me the confidence to move my writing into the world on a larger scale -- writing, music, visual art, short film, etc -- and to be able to live ALL AROUND on those things because I learned about the crypto world BECAUSE I was on Hive. Now I am exploring the world of passive income and DeFi through Hive Power and HBD savings (TWENTY PERCENT INTEREST!!!!), and able to turn small rewards into long-term investments.

Negative: Hive is based on community, and has some "neighborhoods" that have people in them who behave like big rich brats because back in the day, when Hive was down in price, they had a ton of clout and used it to reward their favorites and contain those who are not. It frustrates some of them to see people in the Global South getting their lives NOW with the increase in the price of Hive, living on their rewards NOW while that still can't be done in USD and Euro terms in Hive. However, the community of Hive is big enough and robust enough that one can avoid the foolishness.
