Crowdfunding is a method of cooperation among many people to raise money for a project. Goteo, which is a new model that encourages collaborative projects of an open-minded and/or free nature, is called Goteo. Goteo is an alternative to or complement to financing from private companies or public administrations. It reactivates civil society's co-responsibility role. Goteo offers an opportunity for individuals or small organizations with non-generalist project ideas and difficulty in accessing resources to receive help to start projects that will be long-lasting and sustainable. We support projects that promote the commons, open source code, and/or free knowledge. We place emphasis on the public mission, and encourage free culture and social development. Goteo will co-fund projects that permit copying, public communication, modification, and/or use of any part of the creation.
