Negative: You need to have a basic understanding of what data you're trying to access when you log in, it doesn't provide automatic insights as well as Google Analytics does.

Summary: I have used Google Search Console for years now to manage websites and data. I have used it to make sure my websites are performing well, and also make sure any errors are fixed.
Positive: Easy manageable to make sure your SEO is set up and performing properly. You can see all your SERP data and what devices performed best.
Negative: It can be very intimidating to use as there are a lot of tools. Some of the tools could be easier to use if there was less clutter.
