The Premium Tier utilizes Google's robust, low-latency global network, which is characterized by its extensive and reliable private fiber infrastructure, boasting over 100 points of presence (POPs) worldwide. This extensive network infrastructure positions Google as the leader among public cloud providers in terms of network size. GCP users also enjoy the advantages of Global Load Balancing, a key feature of the Premium Tier, which simplifies management through a unified anycast IPv4 or IPv6 Virtual IP (VIP). Additionally, this tier facilitates seamless regional expansion and allows for overflow or failover capabilities to other regions, enhancing overall reliability and performance.
