Freelan Description
Freelan is a peer-to-peer, open-source, peer-to-peer VPN software. It abstracts a LAN from the Internet. It is compatible with Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX. Freelan can connect your family's computers, play old LAN-only games with your friends, or give privileged network access to your collaborators. Freelan is completely open-source and free. You have complete access to the software's internals and source code. You have complete control over the software and all data. You alone, and no one else. Freelan lets you create any type of network topology, from the traditional clients-server scheme to the crazy hybrid peer-to–peer decentralized graph. It only uses standard, well-established cryptographic algorithm and ensures that communications are completely transparent to the outside world. Freelan is written in C++ and low-level C. It has been thoroughly tested for stability and performance.
