FreeMED Description
FreeMED, an open-source electronic medical record system and practice management software, has been in development since 1999. It was created under the GPL and is free for everyone to modify and use. The FreeMED Software Foundation, a 501(c),(3) non-profit corporation with the primary goal of improving the open-source software community in general and the world through the promotion and adoption of FreeMED and other open source medical software projects, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Contact us if you're interested in learning more about the FreeMED Software Foundation, or if you would like to be a member of the Board of Directors and Clinical Advisory Committee. The FreeMED Software Foundation maintains FreeMED and other related programs, including REMITT, which is an open-source billing and remittance program. You can view all software created by the Foundation on Github including FreeMED, REMITT, and many others.
