FireFly Indoor Gunshot Detector Description
The FireFly®, Indoor Gunshot Detector, is wireless and can be used indoors. The installation involves attaching two sensors using two fasteners. The sensor placement determines the detection area coverage. Unobstructed spherical ranges can reach up to 31,415 sqft. The wireless, battery-operated, self-contained gunshot sensor executes threat versus no-threat validation analysis using waveform and energy level analysis algorithms. The sensor can be mounted to horizontal ceiling substrates, providing a spherical detection area of 314,415 FT2. Vertical columns can also be used to attach sensors, which will provide a smaller coverage area. The sensor transmits threat validation data wirelessly to the EAGL System Server via EAGL Gateway. The EAGL System Server processes the data and initiates the appropriate pre-programmed autonomous and automatic Adaptive Response feature.
