    A rare helpful driver

    Summary: Best FREE NOW experience I have had as lashing rain. Flagged down the taxi had the best experience with this driver. FREE NOW should have more drivers that are as though full as Ghulam!

    Positive: I hailed down a free now taxi on Saturday night in town with my two friends ! He was so nice he dropped my friends to Busaras an then dropped me home! When I got home I only had a €50 and a €10 the fare was €13 he would only take the €10 I was insisting to pay more but he would not take it ! I have been using your service for years an always tip good an have the app an it’s set at 15% tip an have had a few issues. But have never been treated so well. So I decided to say thank you GHULAM. You have restored my faith in FREE NOW. It’s rare now a days to meet a kind taxi driver … thanks again Ghulam 🙏

    Real scam

    Summary: Very bad.

    They are thieves.

    They even reply to tell me that its normal that a price displayed varies by 40% when i have to pay.

    Positive: Only pros is that you learnt hardest not to trust big big words.
    Never had such bad experience in UK.

    Negative: Unfortunately there is "no star" option for these frauds.

    So on app its displayed £80-£107 for a trip from BN213hX to RH60BE.

    Note: we verified all others (Uber, Bolt..) and got the best fare on FREE NOW.

    Then driver charges £140 saying that we must ask refund from free.

    They gave a big explanation on fare can change but 40%? This is a scam.

    If you mentioned only once about real price, we would not choose this crappy service.

    Treat their customers very poorly

    Summary: It really feels like free now HATES their customers.... I recently got scammed on their app. I take the same trip 5 mornings per week, it always costs around the same (maybe a euro either way). Recently I was scammed when a driver charged me an extra 50% over what I normally pay. I contacted him and he advised he had charged the correct amount, the 50% was a free now "technology" charge. Free now basically laughed at me. Told me I should know to ask for a receipt. The absolutely useless Stephanie Soares couldn't even refer to me by the correct name. Very nasty customer services. The logic of losing a customer who spends around 200 Euro every month purely because no one bothered explaining common decency to Stephanie. Or how when you have a frustrated customer, refusing to use their actual name will lead to more frustration.
    I've sense started using Uber instead. It works a lot better so far. Leaving aside a very incompetent customer services, the free now app doesn't work very well. Also they don't take traffic into consideration when calculating time to arrive or cost of trip. Which is very basic. Your phone will tell you its a 5 min trip but you end up sitting in traffic for half an hour. Uber do take traffic into account. Save yourself some Euros - DON'T LET FREE NOW SCAM YOU TOO.

    Positive: This is a tricky one, I guess sometimes the taxi actually turns up..... But honestly we would all be better off if the taxi didn't turn up and we just use UBER instead.

    Negative: Everything. They charge way too much. I've previously paid a 5 euro "technology fee" on a few occasions, on top of the metered fare. Most recently the "technology fee" has gone up. But they didn't bother informing anyone, customers or drivers. They definitely do not have customer safety in mind. They don't seem to have any way of tracking their drivers, so if one attacked a customer free now wont be following up. Their customer service is offensive. As an already frustrated customer, I shouldn't have to deal with customer service.

    Summary: Quoted €35 for a trip to Athens airport but was charged €62. Customer service didn't care and were rude.

    Positive: Nothing of note. Seems like a legitimate app and they use real cars.

    Negative: Charged up to double what's quoted on app. Terrible customer service.

    Summary: Never again and no one else should use this company either. Horrible. Dishonest. Terrible. Will delete the app immediately

    Positive: The third driver that cost me twice what I should have paid but, at least, he showed up and got me to my appointment albeit late because of the other two drivers.

    Negative: I booked a FreeNow car for 10:30am and was cancelled by driver with just 6 minutes before arrival time. You found another driver and he also cancelled with just 6 minutes before arrival.
    I had a 12:00 appointment and was late because of your two inconsiderate cancellations. If I cancel with a short time on the clock, I get fined. I ended up getting a wonderful driver but paid more than twice as much as which I had booked. I had to pay £63 for a £30 ride. I chose going by cab so I wouldn’t be late.
    I have used you as often as I can because you were a good cab firm with fair prices especially for going into Central London. I am going to tell everyone I know this story after telling them how wonderful you are.
    I’m a 68 year old disabled woman and am on anti-anxiety/depression tablets and you caused me more anxiety than I’ve had in months and I lost a son last year. That’s saying something!!! I thought you were a company that I could count on but you’ve proved me wrong. If I can find other people/companies to complain to about you, I will! Trust me, with no trepidation because I was wronged!
