    A better way to manage expenses.

    Summary: Expensify is very powerful that helps me simplify the management of all the expenses that I have as an individual as well as within my work environment. This platform has offered me a variety of tools that make it easy for me to automate records of my expenses through scanning receipts, importing my transactions and manual entries of some expenses, thus being able to generate complete reports without having to handle the complex spreadsheets that become tedious even for a professional who has all his expenses in order with traditional and archaic methods.

    I have a good positive view of this platform due to most of the benefits that Expensify has given me through the time that I have been using it and I have also saved a lot of time when it comes to managing my expenses and that I can have better control over what I have what to spend and not In addition to the benefit of ease and having better control of expenses, I have also had a good experience with customer service, giving me options to have a better application of Expensify both in my personal environment and in my work environment.

    This type of platform is completely useful since money management can be simplified, even more so when it comes to company expenses where expense management failures can occur if they are not recorded correctly. For me it has been worth having a track of my expenses with this platform.
    I had problems several times with the connection of Expensify with third-party services since at times it stopped working, it didn't matter if I used a platform to automate the processes, the connection of Expensify with other platforms simply did not work. Resulting in having to wait several days for everything to automatically reconnect, I've at least been notified of the bugs that have been reported with the integrations. But the problem has occurred very often, and it discourages me from using this platform, since when this problem occurs, I have to manually export and import information so as not to have an outdated database of my expenses, taking a lot of time in the process and doing everything slower, sometimes I feel like I'm using the old spreadsheet method to manage expenses.

    Positive: It allows you to save a lot of time by being able to automatically create receipts within this platform without having to enter expenses manually. It is very few times that I have had to manage expenses manually since they are minor expenses that do not have to require high-value receipts. However, in Expensify business terms, it is easy to be able to add the expenses with the receipts that I have by means of a photograph of my receipts through the application of this platform and that this automatically generates the expenses that I have had, including what I have spent it on, so I don't have to take the trouble to fill in so many fields where I have to specify what I spend on. I have also been able to send expense reports both from my bank accounts, as well as from my credit and debit cards, I feel this is important since too many transaction reports are generated by this means and entering these data can take a long time if it is of a large number of movements. All this can be done with a few clicks, which in a few steps I already have a complete database on personal and business expenses.

    Expensify has offered me excellent customer service through the service it offers to provide advice on the use of this platform and how to have a better result when it comes to managing expenses. This is what I like about any platform that offers a SaaS and that also works well for both individuals and companies of any size that are satisfied. Not only have these features seemed good to me in their service, but they also have several plans that suit various needs for the depth of use that Expensify is required to give. You can have basic and free functions to be able to use this platform for personal use and there are also several payment plans that have advanced functions that are distributed very well for both companies and teams of different sizes.     The receipts must be in perfect condition to be scanned, otherwise you will have to manually upload the data that this platform has not understood. That is why I recommend that you automatically have a photographed receipt when you have it on hand to have a record quickly and that you do not waste time making a manual record, you can still link the bank account, but it is better to have all expenses added immediately to avoid problems later.

    Summary: I love the ease in which I can manage and view expenditure reports. The automatic receipt detector saves me a tremendous amount of time.
    Overall, Expensify is such a great software to track, approve and manage employee expenses using mobile and desktop app.

    Positive: The physical or file receipt detector really works great on Expensify. To add a physical receipt you only need to scan the receipt using camera.
    Some features I liked are:-
    Integration with NetSuite, organized expenses reports, receipt scan and quick expenses approval.

    Summary: Expensify has brought several positive aspects to my work. Among these, I can highlight that both for our work and for the company in general, it has allowed us to easily track expenses and create detailed reports. With SmartScan technology, I no longer have to manually enter data, which saves me a significant amount of time. This has allowed me to focus on other tasks and be more productive. This can be a problem in the case of having employees in different countries, since it can be a challenge to reconcile the expenses that are sent in different currencies, and without a doubt it represents a limitation and walls to be able to expand our work internationally and not to be able to count on our usual payment platform. The reporting capabilities could be improved, this doesn't mean they don't work properly and provide the utility we need and although Expensify generates expense reports automatically, the software doesn't provide many options to customize the reports and it's not possible to create custom reports completely adapted to our brand. Also, the software does not provide information on spending trends, which somewhat interferes with our workflow and does nothing to keep us up to date. One problem is that there is a limit to the number of users I can have on my account without paying extra. As my team grows, I may need to upgrade to a higher plan, which could be expensive. Also, while SmartScan technology is impressive, it's not always 100% accurate. Sometimes I need to manually enter and correct the data that was extracted, which can be time consuming.
    Despite these minor inconveniences, I have found that Expensify has greatly improved my expense reporting process. It has helped me save time and streamline my workflows while ensuring compliance with company policies.

    I also have a problem with the approval workflows on this platform as it is very inflexible in how receipts are approved. Expensify only allows you to set up a single or multi-stage approval process, not a conditional or parallel one. This limitation can make it difficult to customize the approval process to fit the specific needs of our organization.

    I don't understand why being able to upload supports within this platform in PDF format with multiple pages hasn't been implemented yet, in case I want to upload a support with extensive details I have to try to fit everything into a single page PDF. This really gets tedious, so I have to split the files into separate documents or use another tool to process it, slowing down the job.

    I found Expensify to be an incredible tool, but these inconveniences sometimes clog my workflow which makes me wonder whether to look for other alternatives to cover these needs or simply wait for the Expensify team to fix these problems that I consider to be a problem. little inconvenience for day-to-day work with this expense management tool.

    Summary: Tracking commercial expenses has never been so easy, so this platform provides me with the ease, flexibility, comfort and automation to do the job of having a complete and detailed record of the expenses that are made within my company. The integrations have been very helpful because I haven't had to rewrite everything manually to pass data from this platform to another, but instead I'm looking for compatibility to be able to pass all the necessary data automatically without having to go through cumbersome copying processes. The accounting of the company has almost gone into the background since it has become easier to be able to manage everything almost automatically, we still have to have manual records and verify certain things in some circumstances, more however this platform improved the performance to the account time and has kept everything clear and concise.

    Positive: º Its integration with other platforms is the most rewarding thing that Expensify can have, with this, for example, I was able to integrate Uber to be able to determine and track the charges made by this platform automatically without requiring them to be entered manually to be able to track of expenses with Uber.

    º It handles well with the integration of Quickbooks Online, this seemed wonderful to me since I use this platform to manage expenses and then I export everything through the integration to Quickbooks to be able to manage the finances of the entire company and have everything in a kind of ledger. I do all this with almost no manual input since everything is synchronized, automating work time when I manage expenses and income for my company.

    º I can upload documents such as receipts for expenses incurred in order to have a balance in case it is required to review the company's expenses in depth. This allows you to keep everything organized and clear when it is necessary to verify certain information and not only be manual entries of alleged expenses but also have their respective receipts to keep all the accounts clear and that there is no confusion in the process.

    º I liked that everything is based on the cloud so I don't have to prepare anything within an operating system with extensive configurations, which also has a very simple and flexible interface allowing any user to use this platform, making configuration and implementation easy and allowing companies from small to large to be able to use this platform without any barrier.

    º It is of great use to be able to have alerts of excess expenses as well as being able to create expense rules in a personalized way so as not to exceed with unnecessary expenses and keep everything aside thanks to the capacity of this function. In addition, all this configuration can be done on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS, giving me more freedom and the possibility of being able to manage my expenses anywhere and anytime.

    Negative: º I wish I had the option to approve expenses with a single click, without having to do so much to approve. Just a single page is enough where you can directly have a review report to verify if everything is fine and ready, without having to show so many expenses individually, but in a single view have everything in an orderly manner to be able to process everything else easily.

    º I don't know if it is possible, but the tax part is not clear when declaring it as if it were a report. I would like to have the possibility of having a report of this for each year and that it looks well configured since currently this platform is a headache with respect to that subject, everything is well polished, but when it comes to taxes it is a chaos and I wish it was easier for the user configuration.

    º I have a problem with duplicate expenses since they tend to occur occasionally and that is a bit annoying because it creates confusion within the company when excess expenses are reflected but it is not like that because some expenses are duplicated. I would like the platform to at least notify me when there are expenses of similar amounts so that I don't have to manually search for the expense that was duplicated, but instead the system would automatically show me what expense it is and thus be able to take measurements from each cut.

    º With some integrations with this platform you cannot differentiate if it was a retention or if it was really charged for the services obtained, this also causes a bit of confusion since if there was a problem with the payment of some platform which did not charge the money, but that it was held or declined then within Expensify it may appear that it was charged without even knowing that the payment was not processed or is simply being held for whatever reason.

    º A big inconvenience that I have when wanting to do everything automatically is the receipts that I upload to this platform, since the optical character recognition is not very efficient, even when I have the receipts just printed, clearly and without scratches or wrinkles and even so it does not detect everything so clearly. What I mostly have to do is register the entire receipt manually when this platform does not recognize it visually. I hope they improve this as platforms like Apple or Google have good character recognition and it almost never fails to detect something on printed paper.

    Summary: Expensify has been great to us. As a small business, we often have to do many tasks simultaneously, leaving us with little time for ourselves. Since we started using Expensify, things have been going so well for us as we got rid of all the tasks that Expensify is now doing automatically and without issues, which we are so grateful for and wouldn't change for anything else. We also were able to get rid of physical paperwork, which often got lost or got piled up in our offices, and we changed that for a digital and smart solution that saves everything safely. Expensify is, overall, a tool that is able to do so many great things and improve our workflow significantly, allowing us to create reports on expenses very quickly and keeping track of where our money is going, and having so many integrations with accounting solutions is also beneficial and makes my experience even better. It has also helped us improve our relationship with customers, since Expensify has a feature where you can send invoices to anyone in a timely manner, and we are able to successfully attend our customers' requests quickly and make the payment process smoother. But mostly, I love that it values safety even within the business, as we can manage who will have access to certain reports and create and customize our own expense policy rules so that the software will apply it to our data.

    Positive: Expensify is a simple software that keeps track of all our expenses and it's easy to use.     -Its ability to import our business credit card to automatically merge our receipts information, making it way easier for me to focus on business projects instead of making sure I didn't forget a receipt all the time, it keeps my mind more calm knowing this software will keep track of our expenses without sacrificing our safety.

    Negative: Expensify is a software that works pretty well for my business but there are still some features that I would like to see improvement on.     Positive: We use Expensify for our corporate credit card. I like that it's very easy to issue cards to employees and that the approval and review process is built into the system. I also like that as additional functionality you can process employee reimbursements directly through the platform for expenses paid in cash or on personal credit cards. Expensify allows us to do the management of budgets really well and it allows us to send invoices for the products that we sell, it is very easy to send these to our clients and receive payment immediately. Additionally, I like that Expensify provides a well built option to generate reports and schedule said reports to be created during a specific amount of time, this is unique and important as we sometimes tend to focus on other stuff and forget about this essential part of our product planning, and Expensify automates it for us without any trouble.
    It provides a platform to build our budgets and manage our taxes. This is incredibly important because it has a lot of tools that help plan every aspect of our project and know how to manage our money to make sure that everything is financially covered after taxes. It is a convenient platform to manage everything for tax season and make sure that everything is correct and we are not missing any important information for our business regarding our taxes, it generates multiple tax rates depending on the options that you choose and it can create invoices with tax included automatically calculated by the application, which is something great as we do not have to calculate it ourselves.

    Negative: There are some minor bugs while using the software, they are very small but still manage to present inconveniences at times when we need it the most, I have experienced expenses not actually being submitted when I did, and I have had to resubmit them in order for it to work, it is something that does not happen too often but when it does, it feels really annoying because I have to do double the work and it is not something that feels practical with Expensify; I have also experienced bugs while using the scanner, some words it will not scan properly, maybe because the technology is not very updated to catch text properly, but I have had to edit the receipts scanned so they fit what the actual receipt says and correct any grammar issues so that at the moment of organizing everything for tax season we won’t have any issues with tracing back old receipts. I think that Expensify is a great software, however, it still needs a lot of improvement to remove regular bugs that happen on the application and improve the overall functionality of it, it still needs a lot of work to be a fully prepared software that handles expenses very well without any difficulties, and I am sure that it will be achieved in the future because improvements are being added constantly and the application updates frequently.

    Summary: Been using Expensify for a few years and it does the job.

    Make sure that you do get the bank feeds to make life easier, and use the app to email your invoices.

    There are no issues with the software, support is good and if you need something to manage credit card expenses, it will do the job OK.

    Positive: The best thing you can do with Expensify is setup automatic bank feeds. That saves a lot of time and effort when doing your credit card expenses.

    Negative: Functionality is not quite there. While it is comprehensive, its not very user friendly (but then again, what expense manager software is...)
