Summary: We've been using Estimate Rocket for the past 8 years. We've tried other programs but they weren't as user-friendly and capturing information wasn't as simple. With Estimate Rocket, we are able to track our sales, lead source and profitability. Great tool for trade professionals!
Positive: Easy to use, innovative and a great CRM tool. I was able to jump right in and set up my customer data base and start estimating jobs immediately.
Negative: In the beginning I was hoping for a certain features that wasn't being offered. But they listen to suggestions from their users and implement them as prioritized.

Summary: Mediocre at best. Anxious for an alternative that allows me to work more efficiently!
Positive: Basic tracking of leads and jobs, with reports. It tracks jobs and leads.
Negative: 1. Forces new “completed by” names if you don’t maintain subscription for ex-employees so you lose your paper trail.

2. Picture (image) feature won’t allow moving images or macro function to name, hide or otherwise edit text.
3. After any edit, the page returns to the top which is a giant hassle regarding #2 above.
4. You have to know code to create paragraphs, page breaks, numbering, etc.
5. Mobile app is AWFUL! Reverts to dashboard no matter what. Can’t go back to previous page especially the schedule.
6. Adding new items to groups is a huge pain. You have to select the group name when creating the line item or you’ve got to do it all over again.
7. Ability to cut and paste phases in and out, requiring computer restart to make it work again.
8. Customer search feature isn’t intuitive at ALL. Won’t find phone numbers or contact names from the search bar.
9. Doesn’t play well with iPhones. When reassigning, completing or adding new tasks, the screen freezes up and you have to force it to “think”. I’ve discovered that flipping the image from vertical to horizontal about 3 times does the trick but it’s a huge hassle.
10. Needs to interface with Outlook! The calendar is as basic as it could possibly be
ER is a great framework for an upgraded version but as it is, it’s just good enough not to quit but it’s bad enough that I’d love an alternative that is more intuitive, have better search features, better mobile apps, etc.
I know that these issues could be fixed. Why isn’t ER doing anything about them?
