Engageli Description
Engageli is an AI-powered learning platform built for active, inclusive, and data-informed instruction. Developed by Stanford educators, leading technologists, and the founder of Coursera, it was purposefully designed to overcome the limitations of standard video conferencing and fragmented engagement tools. Engageli offers a streamlined, multi-modal environment that helps instructors create more connected, human, and effective virtual learning experiences.
The platform brings together live classes, interactive self-paced learning, and AI-assisted course creation. Patented virtual tables enable intentional small-group collaboration, while built-in AI engagement tools—polls, quizzes, games, shared documents, notes, chat, and Q&A—support seamless participation without relying on external apps. Teachers retain full oversight with table visibility, content monitoring, and adaptable session controls.
AI supports instruction across every modality. During live classes, it generates polls, quizzes, and summaries directly tied to presented materials. In asynchronous playback rooms, AI tutors respond to learner questions and support content review. Engageli Studio creates immersive modules by segmenting existing videos and PDFs and inserting activities at logical pause points.
Engageli also delivers robust engagement data across live and self-paced learning. Instructors and administrators can track participation patterns, confirm active minutes, identify learners who need help, and meet funding, compliance, or performance reporting requirements.
Today, Engageli supports more than one million learning hours each week across K–12 districts, colleges and universities, and global corporate training programs.

Engageli Date: May 13 2026
Summary: Overall, I love Engageli. When we were first introduced to it back in 2024, I began using it for lunch bunch and prevocational classes to allow myself and students to get used to it before it rolled out as the only platform we would use. I would highly recommend the platform to anyone who is on the fence about it.
Positive: I love the of access between switching to room mode and table mode, using the tags, word cloud in polls, YouTube player, saving files and the react buttons. I love that we are able to view students in different areas on the main screen or on the side when using files. I am glad that you added the breakout feature for tables as well as allowing us to block individual student's settings instead of having to punish the entire class.
Negative: I do not like that it does not record individual tables, and we have tried sending docs out several times, but it has not worked for us even with the troubleshooting/ step-by-step guide. I would like a feature to remove students backgrounds especially because some turn it on then disappears from class or fall asleep and you cannot see them. Instructors should be able to control TA's tools, or they should have the same tool access as instructors if they are registered teachers in the platform vs student or learning coaches who are granted TA privileges for that specific class period. I wish that there were up to 5 instructors allowed per class.

Positive: Easy to use
Automated features—like polls, questions, and quizzes—that take very little setup to use.
Support from Engageli is AMAZING.
Enhanced features being released on a regular basis
Engageli listens to input from the user community and makes changes accordingly.Negative: The only CON I have is that not all schools that I attend or work with use it. I really miss it in my class when it is not being used by the school.

Engageli For Teaching Date: Dec 05 2025
Summary: My experience with Engageli have been extremely positive, and I foresee continuing to use Engageli and new features they deploy for years.
Positive: There are several very strong pro's for Engageli. They have considered many teaching styles and have built features that support getting students involved. The features allow for creativity and for adaptability. Engageli seems to be specifically built for a teacher's needs.
The other aspect that amazes me is the support that Engageli gives the end users. I have never seen a company so responsive and supportive. If you use Engageli I am sure you will find their support to be top tier.Negative: Because there are so many features, there is a bit of a learning curve with Engageli. Some faculty members may feel overwhelmed at first. The solution is for them to get the basics down, which are not difficult, then grow in their use of more advanced features.

My Review of Engagli - Tamara Gray Date: May 13 2026
Summary: Overall, I like Engageli. The cons make my day a little more difficult, but the pros are outstanding. I could not comment on pricing, as I have no idea. Our school purchases this product.
Positive: I like the ability to jump from table to table and "peek" at my math students as they discuss the mathematical process. Sometimes they will talk more openly when a teacher is not present. This allows me to understand their thinking and any errors they may be making.
I also like that I can look at the top of the screen and see how many students are present and I love that when in table mode, I can pullup the side gallary to see all students (although I do wish we could enlarge it some).Negative: I do not like that I cannot make a straight line or draw a shape when annotating or writing on the white board. This is a huge con for me. As a math teacher, being able to draw a straight line is important. Another con is that I can not copy and paste from my other pages. I must upload pictures. This is very time-consuming in class. Our last program would allow us to snip something from another page and paste it onto our white board. I miss that.

Makes Teaching Hard Date: Aug 28 2024
Summary: Poor overall. Product has several deficiencies in the design itself and seems to need a large bandwidth to function within reason.
Positive: Playback room and keeping an organized place for recordings that can be title edited. Tables if you want private groupings.
Negative: Doesn't work well. It has major lag and other tech issues. Annotation has to be opened each slide AND you have to allow students to write. Then you have to 'close' it to go to the next slide and there is no going back. Once the annotation is closed the work is gone. Polls and quizzes all have to be premade or takes too much time to do with your presentation.
