Negative: Payment options are a little limited. Would like a wider variety.

Summary: Having been an ecommerce solutions provider for 20+ years, I specialize in the online shopping customer experience. I've helped develop an ecommerce solutions and have used many others including WooCommerce and Magento.

I was drawn to ECWID as an ecommerce solution was needed to plug into an existing site that would help deliver the 'Curbside Pickup' need. Since all my installations will not change site providers just for ecommerce, ECWID is the perfect solution! I look forward to helping ECWID continue its development.

Positive: Love!:
-Ability to plug ECWID into ANY site
-The customer purchase experience provided by ECWID is TOP NOTCH! I love the messaging automation...this rivals the Amazon experience
-Catalog import (sans additional images availability)
-Customer support (Wow!)
-Sales support..Jasmin has been very accommodating in helping us evaluate ECWID's solution. I hope to be an enterprise partner for ECWID)

Negative: -No additional (product) images integration into the existing catalog import functionality. ECWID asks to use a 3rd party file import program or use APIs. Since the main product image is part of the catalog import datafeed, how difficult is it to add additional image attributes? Remember, consumer research shows that consumers need an AVERAGE of 4 product images to make a purchasing decision...1 product image is not sufficient.

Summary: Overall, as someone learning about e-commerce and pushing my products out into the world and already increasing the number of options and growing my site, I believe Ecwid will be able to stay with me as a company and I believe it's going to be a great set-up for me. Ecwid integrates with many platforms so I don't have to worry about moving platforms because all the ones I've considered, Ecwid integrates with.

Positive: The customer service has been excellent. I am new to the world of e-commerce and have found Ecwid easy to learn.

Negative: The learning curve, for me, pairing it with other print-on-demand platforms has been a little frustrating, but I've always got my questions answered by Ecwid customer support in a timely fashion.

Summary: Love it, even recommended to a friend who has started off with a free store. She is also a beginner and she is managing to find her way around.

Positive: Easy to set up a store, as a beginner, it was easy to set up a store. They're lovely store layouts. Love it!

Negative: The limitation on the Free plan, the fact that you can not accept Credit card payments on it. The email marketing feature that is only available when you upgrade to a much more expensive plan for a small business like mine, can not afford it.

Summary: It's a great free e-commerce platform where we can sell products anywhere. It allows you to sell across every major platform and easy to manage from a single dashboard. It gives the freedom to customize the store and manage orders. It helps me to grow my business faster.

Positive: 1. It's free software as a service tool.

3. Integrated with a giant marketplace like eBay and Amazon.
4. Works excellent with major content management system like WordPress.
5. Ability to sell goods anywhere.

Negative: 1. No rewarding options for customers.
2. The Freemium plan has limitations for 10 items only.
3- There is no section to add a coupon or promotional code option for customers.

Summary: I'm satisfied with Ecwid so far, it offers me a powerful platform at a convenient price. Ease of use is a big plus.

Positive: - Ease of use

- Ability to use custom promo codes
- Professional looking templates

Negative: Product bulk editing options are somewhat limited.

Summary: I find the value for money on this product to be amazing. For the basic functions needed by the bulk of the small e-commerce businesses it is perfect.
The only thing they could improve on is adding paid Once off budget friendly add ons which cater for specific businesses.

Positive: Seamlessly plugs into my website as a part of the site.

Negative: A search function for the 100 units product would be nice.
As a South African, additional customisation options work out expensive, but they are not absolutely necessary.

Summary: I really don't understand how Ecwid can be a shop system for so long and have such a bad reputation, when it comes to SEO. Nowadays, if you have a page speed score of 10/100 (page speed insights), your business will suffer.

In other words, Ecwid will make your business suffer.

Positive: It is quite easy to use and you'll have an online shop quite fast.
It is also easy to manage products.

Negative: The page speed is very slow and you'll get ignored as soon as you point this out.

Only those who don't know anything about SEO will be fooled by this shop system.
