Dxtory is a tool to capture movies for DirectX and OpenGL applications. It works at a very high speed and with low load because data is directly obtained from a surface buffer. Dxtory's codec can record original pixels data as they are. A lossless video source can give you the best quality. Writing speed to storage is the first bottleneck in high-bitrates capture. This function can be used to increase writing speed if the environment has storage capacity. A special file system is not necessary. Multiple selections can be made from the same folder to save data. If the speed setting is set, preparation will be complete. You can record multiple audio sources simultaneously, similar to a mike input and game sound. It is saved as an individual stream to AVI files, so it can be edited later. Third-party VFW codecs are supported. The user can choose their preferred video codec.
