DriverFix Misleading the Consumers Date: Dec 25 2022
Summary: The DriverFix program found 6 programs needing updates. I clicked update ALL. Every update FAILED.
Positive: I was looking for a driver that I could not find anywhere. DriverFix search for driver tool says it has a driver. I was happy. Stops there. See Cons.
Negative: Downloaded the Driver for a device I had been unable to use. Turns out the Driver that DriverFix had for me was "Gigabyte Control Center". This driver is made for specific hardware that Gigabyte supports. It does not support typical equipment like Intel and such. It supports only one or two brands of equipment and my system does not have any of those brands.

Why does DriverFix computers tell me this will fix my scanner driver problem when it has nothing to do with ANY equipment or piece of hardware anywhere on my system. Guess DriverFix computers just "take a guess" where they cant find a real solution.
NEXT , even getting worse, after further research on the Web I see that DriverFix is a product of "REIMAGE" which is a company that has a lot of very bad reviews on the internet. I have tried to avoid REIMAGE for years because of those reviews and now they download their products under a FAKE name so you get REIMAGE anyway. This is a SCAM I feel. Kind of like Bait and Switch.
Their 24/7 support for a PAID member tells me to look at Frequently Asked Questions on their website. How helpful. A long useless list that assumes something is wrong with my computer. It is a recent clean install of Win10 and everything has been working perfectly. In fact I have used "Driver Easy PRO", "Snappy Driver", Driver Booster PRO" and "Ashampoo Driver Updater PRO" and all of those programs worked perfectly without hours of work trying to find out why the drivers they provide will not install -- like on DriverFix by Reimage.
