Crossroads Software Inc.'s eCitation System has been adopted by more than 130 police departments. It makes the citation writing process faster and more accurate. Using item lists approved by courts for violation codes, violation grades, court dates, or other drop-down items reduces citation writing errors. Scanning barcodes on driver licenses and registration documents increases speed and accuracy in capturing violators and vehicle information. Modifying court dark dates reduces the need to amend. Officers will often work on a particular problem road or intersection for traffic violations. Many of the items in subsequent cites are identical to the original: location, conditions and violation code(s), court, date, etc.
