    Summary: Overall, we forget how hard things used to be since Connex works so well for us. Our accounting vendor can do their job more easily when they need to because invoices are in QB when they need to be. Love it!

    Summary: We have used a number of solutions to Sync with Quickbooks online, but always ran in to issues with reliability. This just works and works well!

    Positive: There are many solutions out there, but this product just works and works and works. If there are any issues with the sync it is easy to see what the issue is. Recently we had issues with our Cloudflare setup in front of our Magento install.

    It was simple to run the sync again manually and review the errors. This product works and has a good pricing model

    Summary: We use Connex to import our orders from ship station to QuickBooks. We are able to manage multiple stores and for the most part the system works very well, saving us precious time.

    Negative: The are occasional glitches when updates are made but Connex support has been responsive in sorting these out.

    The best app for syncing Shopify that I have found

    Summary: The whole process of installing, setting up, asking questions, getting support has been really good. You can get actual live people based in the US.

    Positive: Connex recognizes the items in Shopify and doesn't create new non-inventory items in QB like another app I tried. Connex is the 4th app I tried and what a relief to have found them. There is no charge to sync old sales, unlike other apps.

    Negative: Nothing that I have found so far, I am very happy with it.

    Summary: Before this software we had one person entering invoices from Shopify to Quickbooks. Now, it's done automatically - no more manual entry! If there is ever any issue they also offer great support to handle it right away.

    What a time saver!

    Summary: I was looking for something that would enter all our daily orders as it was becoming too time consuming. After researching Connex, I knew this was what I was looking for. Sandi was extremely helpful, walked me through onboarding and even followed up after to make sure things were working smoothly.
    As a small family business, we do not have the budget to pay a full-time bookkeeper. We think of Connex as our bookkeeper and it is so much more affordable than having a full-time person on staff.

    Positive: Recording daily orders, but be sure the SKU is the same in Shopify and Quickbooks.
    Daily deposits really helps with bank reconciliations.
    Customer service is amazing!

    Negative: When there is an adjustment/edit to an order in Shopify, Connex does not record it so therefore it needs to be manually entered.
    This is more my fault, I did not set up SKUs for products when we first started with Shopify so that is taking some time to coordinate in the two programs.

    Summary: I am pleased with the services this has to offer. This makes it easy to track all my orders that are being imported and exported from my different stores.

    Positive: I like how simple this interface is to use across the board.I like how this works and also getting the customer support they had to offer while using the system.

    Negative: This system did not have a Connex to user setup process. I feel that this would've answered a lot of questions I had about it for the startup process. I believe that if they had someone help set everything up with a screen share would've taken a lot of stress away.

    Summary: Overall experience was very very positive. The effort to maintain and utilize this service is exactly what we needed, and now we can reassign manual entry personnel to more active functions.

    Positive: We needed a digital solution to replace hand entered data... This is the most reviewed, trusted and financially reasonable option. For all of the above, this is the perfect product for this use case. Easy setup, fast service and the sales team was excellent to work with.

    Negative: The connection methods are difficult to understand, and not intuitive. The setup required several calls with Connex to clarify.

    Summary: Over the past 6 years we have been very happy with the product overall and with the customer service that we receive, that has been very positive!

    Positive: This systems saves me a ton of time as orders are directly input into Quickbooks for me. I love that I get alerts and notifications if there are any issues with an order coming into our Quickbooks, and that I am told exactly what the problem is so that it is easily fixed. I also love that I can have those orders imported after I fix the issues and it is relatively easy. The support has been amazing so when I have issues they have been great to walk me through things.

    Negative: The system can be a little confusing to set up initially and sometimes I need help figuring out how to correct something. I am NOT computer savvy at all so it is difficult sometimes to figure out what I am supposed to do - I need a Connex for dummies.

    Our first year with Connex

    Summary: Of course there were learning curves when we first began using Connex but we were able to overcome them fairly quickly. Once you learn your way around it is a fairly simple program to use.

    Positive: Once the initial set up was done Connex is a reliable program that runs quietly in the background.

    Negative: I would like to have customer service more readily available. There are times we have an issue that needs to be addressed ASAP and we have to wait for a response.

    Great product but terrible support

    Summary: Implementation was challenging. Once it was up and running and the kinks worked out, it has proven to be very reliable. They did respond to some feature requests that improved our workflow.

    Positive: Once it's set up properly, it's a very reliable product. It saves a lot of time importing orders from our 3 custom web shops. It does a pretty good job of checking for an existing customer or, creates a new customer as necessary. Once you get used to it, it's easy to navigate and support. Regular reports via email helps to ensure things are running smoothly.

    Negative: Can't call tech support. Very slow response to support tickets. Very difficult to get support to implement new features.
    It would be helpful if we could have a filter to have some web shop orders be created as Sales Receipts while others created as a Sales Order.

    Connex with Quickbooks Enterprise

    Summary: Overall, I like the way that Connex is syncing my orders from ShippingEasy into Quickbooks Enterprise. I synced several thousand of them last year. I wish I felt 100% confident that it doesn't miss an order. Maybe now that I'm syncing right when an order comes in, I will feel better about that. We'll see how this season goes. I wish there were more companies that can do what I need done with syncing orders from ShippingEasy to Connex because I feel like I'm paying way to much for me only using one small feature that Connex has to offer. I also wish Customer Service was much easier to reach.

    Positive: I really like that way I am able to have Connex convert sales orders from all four of my stores and place them into my Sales Receipts in Quickbooks Enterprise. There are not a lot of software options out there that can do this with Enterprise, so I was thrilled to have this option. I also love that I don't have to do anything to convert the orders. Once everything is initially set up (with the help of a Connex technician), every order I get is immediately transferred and converted to my Quickbooks Enterprise. As a bonus, Connex is also able to classify each order with the store that the order came from. I have a store on BigCommerce, Amazon, and two Etsy stores. All work great with Connex. I use a third party online shipping software solution from ShippingEasy.com. Connex works well with them.

    Negative: It seems a bit expensive for what I'm doing. The only reason I need Connex is for converting sales orders. There are a lot of features I'm paying for that I don't need because I get them through ShippingEasy. Everything is fully automated with converting my orders, so I feel I'm overpaying for what I'm actually doing. It would be nice if Connex had a plan for someone like me that is only using basically one feature. Also, I initially had Connex set up to only convert orders from ShippingEasy once the order actually shipped. I had problems with this. When orders were on hold for one reason or another, by the time they shipped, they would be out of the automated date range that Connex had set up, therefore the orders would never make it into Quickbooks. When we addressed this after the last Christmas season, with the help of a technician from Connex, we manually loaded several groups of orders one at a time to ensure all orders were accounted for. We ended up finding several hundred orders that were never transfered. This caused major problems with my inventory and accurate sales reports. The "fix" was to just have Connex transfer orders immediately upon receipt. The reason I like to wait until orders were shipped was because I have customers that would often make changes to their orders. So, instead of making the change in ShippingEasy once, I now have to make the changes to ShippingEasy AND in my Quickbooks Enterprise. Finally, I will admit that I'm not the most computer savy person out there, but I found the interface to be confusing. Thankfully, the technician was able to set everything up for me, but if I have any problems, I'm not confident I can fix the issue myself. I have two major things that I would like to see improved. The first is customer service. It's difficult to reach a human, and it would also be nice to have 24/7 customer support. Second, when I run out of "syncs" in my plan, I don't get any notification at all. I should be sent an email so that it's clear that I'm out. What happens when I run out of syncs is that my orders just stop syncing. I don't monitor these every day, or even every week, so it's frustrating when I go to look for an order in Quickbooks Enterprise and discover the order isn't there because I had run out of syncs. I then need to find out what date the orders stopped syncing and try to get them manually synced into QBE.

    It's great when it works. Customer service could use improvement

    Summary: We started using Connex at the beginning of 2020 and it was a very rocky start. We got the vibe that not all the bugs had been worked out with Quickbooks Online and that we were helping them test their software while paying for it at the same time.

    Positive: The software has improved and so has the web interface in the past year. Once everything is configured, the syncing happens in the background and goes unnoticed. It helps us sync ShipStation and QBO together and work more efficiently.

    Negative: The beginning setup is rough and customer service is something to be desired. Things that one would think would be plug and play with Quickbooks Online required some workarounds that did not feel so slick. An example would be that we had to stop using the shipping field in invoices and, instead, create a shipping line item so that tax wouldn't get applied to the shipping. It was very wonky. When we spent weeks going back and forth with support, I asked if they could offer a makegood of some sort for our troubles and absolutely nothing was offered. My company has given product away to make a customer happy. I guess money is more important than word of mouth marketing to the people at JMA Web and Connex.

    Summary: The support is not always the greatest. Would love if can have a number that we can call and speak to a live representative whenever needed.

    Positive: The software is well priced. It sometimes works nicely and has this cool deposit match tool which is really nice when it works.

    Negative: It doesn't always sync properly and when it's not working and I need to fix it that day it's hard to get someone on the case quick enough.
