Clever is used by more than 60% of U.S. K-12 schools, including 95 of America's largest 100 districts. Clever has 15 million users monthly. We are proud that we work with the education community to make every student have a chance at a lifetime of opportunities.

Clever was created by Dan Carroll, co-founder and former school tech director in Denver. Many CSV files and forgotten passwords hampered Dan's plans to use technology to save time and personalize learning. Dan recalls that he wanted to be an innovator but was stuck as a human API.

Software has the potential of empowering teachers and creating new learning opportunities. First, however, one thing must be done. Logging in must be easy and secure for everyone.

We created a single sign on portal to solve Dan's problem. It now allows 60% of U.S. K-12 schools to spend more time learning than logging in.
