Cisco Network Convergence System 6000 Series Routers Description

The Network Convergence System 6000 (NCS) helps to enable superior network agility, packet optic convergence, and petabits per second system scale. It supports the Cisco Evolved Programable Network, which allows virtualization and programmability at a low total cost of ownership. It also delivers high-bandwidth mobile and video services to end users. Cisco nPower X1 NPUs are hardware-enabled true Zero-Packet, Zero-Topology Los ISSU. They enable the ability to scale beyond 1 petabit in a multichassis configuration, enhanced operations support and packet-optical Integration. For the lowest carbon footprint in service provider routing, use an adaptable power consumption model both for the ASIC and the CMOS photonics technology. You can easily adapt the power consumption of each line card to the number ports.
