Chaverware Description
CHAVERWARE, the FIRST Windows product on this market, was introduced in 1993. We have been able to grow our business through our reputation for excellent software and customer support. We have gathered many similar products over the years: TempleSoft, Marks Congregation Connect JVillage, ShulCloud, Congregation Connect and Congregation Connect. Software applications for non-profit markets are our primary business areas. We have a focus on the Jewish market and further specialize in the Synagogue market. Software applications that are targeted at specific markets include Chaverware, The Gold Standard Synagogue Membership Software® and ChaverWeb, an online platform for members of Synagogues that uses Chaverware to manage their data, make donations, sign-up for events and pay their bills. This software can be used with accounting and membership systems. Circuits & Systems Computers & Peripherals Inc. has a close association with Circuits & Systems Inc.

Imperfect for sure, but the best option I've tried Date: Jan 24 2024
Summary: Our shul was an early adopter of one of the platforms absorbed by Chaverware. In fact, we specifically moved away from Chaverware due to its weaknesses and frustrations. As they have slowly transformed ShulCloud into just another version of Chaverware the frustrations have re-surfaced.
Positive: Specifically designed for shuls, and meets the needs of an Orthodox shul moderately well.
Back end is fairly intuitive.
Robust interface with financial software.
A myriad of tools that meet our daily needs in most areas.
Many options available (at an additional cost!)Negative: Definitely lacking in pastoral and CRM features.

Customer support has sharply declined since the purchase of so many smaller databases.
Client interface is not intuitive and therefore use and compliance is lower than it could be.
The cost to customize features is prohibitive.
