BEWARE of shady pricing Date: Aug 19 2022
Summary: Overall would not recommend this product due to their shady and predatory pricing. All other products bill you based upon monthly active users, not names in a database.
Positive: Easy to integrate and technically the most fully featured software for user onboarding and getting new users started.
Negative: We had planned to use it for onboarding and getting new users acclimated with our animal rescue software. While still in the mode of setting it up they increased the price claiming we had 5,000 users. When we pushed back they simply pointed to a blog where it says they calculate user count based upon every user it identifies, without regard to whether the user actually signs on in the month. They simply pull the list of every possible user that has EVER signed up with you and then charge you in perpetuity for those users claiming that they "might" all login some day at the same time.

Summary: To know how to use the guides, benchmarking and tutorials are awesome.
Some configs of builder it’s difficult to understand.Positive: Chameleon it’s very helpful in sense of integrations and tutorials. But the features for microsurvey is not so good.
Negative: Limited resources for microsurvey and A/B test tours.

- Editor can be further improved to solve deeper use cases. For example - to run a tooltip on an element that is present on multiple pages on our application but we need to show the tooltip only on a particular page, sometimes it's difficult to configure such use cases. -

Summary: Chameleon is a great solution for in app tours, notifications, and marketing campaigns. It is a crucial tool for our product team.
Positive: My favorite part about chameleon is how simple and easy it is to set up a pop-up. Everything from triggers, design, and fine-tuning is very intuitive and doesn't require too much trouble shooting. Level of complexity is perfect.
Their support pages are also helpful and I can figure out everything I need on my own.Negative: I've had some trouble with uploading CSVs in the past, but that was with a particularly large targeted group of users. Otherwise, I really enjoy my experience using chameleon for simple in app pop-ups.

Summary: I'd recommend this product to any digital company that's looking to test and learn or enhance their web or mobile presence without tying up pivotal engineering resources.
Positive: Our company has been able to democratize testing and learning on site because of Chameleon's easy to use interface. We get to deploy quickly and read tests.
Negative: I'd love to see more flexibility out of this tool for new templates and customization. It's a very flexible package, but there are certain limitations.

Summary: Our team really enjoys using this product to highlight new features, bring our users to external education, and flag everyone when there might be an issue with our program. Learning resources continue to be expanded and the Customer Success team - and our direct support in particular - is exceptional.
Positive: Chameleon has really allowed our team to highlight key features, quickly get messaging out when needed, and provided a generally easy space to create different tours/tooltips. Chameleon also has some of the strongest customer service in the space - their Success team is accessible, extremely helpful, and a pleasure to work with.
Negative: Some of the launcher setup steps can be a little confusing to work through, at least compared to other builds. Library of our current chameleons could be a bit easier to view, although using tags does help.

Summary: We are able to much more easily deliver information through our product without dev involvement.
We provide a SaaS platform to large organisations and Chameleon forms an integral part of user onboarding and ongoing information when using the system in the form of tooltips.
We are also using it to help deploy NPS and CSAT surveys which we couldn't easily do with our client structures.Positive: The system is quick and easy to use, you can be super prescriptive with the way content is delivered and if you exploit the full capabilities of the integration it is incredibly powerful.
Negative: Learning can be steep if you are non-technical, however once you are up to speed it is a breeze.

Summary: We depend on and love Chameleon for in-product help and instruction. It's easy to use, and I appreciate the timely help I get when I have questions.
Positive: We use the tool-tips mostly and they are very nice in that we can add links within the tips to specific articles in our products knowledge base. We use product tours to show functions that are tucked away further (so that we can keep our interface simple and clean). Chameleon allows us to direct the user to them when it is time (after they have done some other basic things first.)
Negative: The browser-plugin to manage the tips and tours can sometimes act oddly, but I'm not sure if it could be a conflict with other add-ons I use. Pricing is a little steep (especially while we were getting it up and running)... but our need for a positive customer user-experience is critical, and for the time being, our teams feel it is worth it.
