Chainpoint Description
You can store unlimited amounts of data on the Bitcoin blockchain. You can verify the existence and integrity of your data without relying upon a trusted third party. Chainpoint links your data to a Blockchain and returns a timestamp-proof. A Chainpoint Node receives hashes that are combined using a Merkle Tree. In a Bitcoin transaction, the root of this tree will be published. The final Chainpoint proof is a set operations that cryptographically connect your data to the Bitcoin Blockchain. Chainpoint proofs contain the information necessary to verify that a hash of data is anchored on a blockchain. It proves that the data existed at the time it was anchored. Chainpoint proofs can easily be verified without the need for a trusted third party.
