CPillar Description
Quick and easy stability analysis of underground crown pillars or surface roofs using three different limit equilibrium analysis methods: elastic plate, rigid plate, and Voussoir plate analysis. Probabilistic analysis is used to determine the likelihood of failure. By assigning statistical distributions of variables, you can model variability in geometry, point force application, joint strength, bedding strength, water pressure, and external loads. To evaluate the impact of changing model parameters on safety factor, perform sensitivity analysis with a range of values. This method was originally designed for steeply dipping ore bodies. By estimating crown geometry, and assessing stope geometry as shallow or steep, you can apply the best empirical relationships to your model.
