Summary: It's a good software in theory, but is not practical if you are looking to constantly make labels during the day.

Positive: It was relatively easy to transfer our old labels to the new software. It has many tools to utilize that enable making labels easy.

Negative: Our software seems to crash way too often when making labels and no one really knows what is wrong with the software.

Summary: Great product that we have used with our clients for over 20 years. Tech support is always available. Sales support very easy to get a hold of.

Positive: Easy to produce labels and make new ones. We use this in an apparel design department where we need consistency across multiple vendors.
Licensing portal is easy to use.

Negative: Product is now software as a service (SAAS), so we have to pay annually.
We had a legacy product and our labels had to be re-created.

Summary: Been using it since Version 4, but all in all it is a very nice product. It takes a little extra skill to use though.

Positive: Makes amazing labels with great clarity and detail. The separate form page is nice if you have a master label with a few changes you can put in a database.

Negative: Upgrading to a new version, the last time I did I had to open each label and save it with a few tweaks. We have a lot of labels. We also have a 3 user network license. But if someone opens 3 different Codesoft programs instead of using tabs on the same PC, it counts as a new user

Summary: So far it has been very helpful printing out multiple labels at once. I would recommend this product t new user for its convenience.

Positive: I've only used the product a few times but has done everything we have needed it too. The more I use it the more I like it.

Negative: Not as of now. My application has been fairly simple but I have not yet had any problems

Summary: Our overall experience is very positive with this company and software. While expensive, we use this software everyday to print labels for circuit boards. Would definitely recommend taking one of their webinars to understand the full capability of this software.

Positive: Interface is generally well laid out and intuitive. Printer compatibility is excellent. The support team is very knowledgeable and answers all our questions.

Negative: A bit pricey. There is a learning curve when you first start using it. The process to update versions is a bit involved as well, really should be an auto-update function built in.

Summary: I would recommend this to other users. I believe that it is a powerful application and has a lot of flexibility

Positive: Creating new labels and templating from previous templates is pretty easy. Once you get used to using the system, it flows pretty good.

Negative: Just locating things at the beginning can be a little difficult, but it is just a learning curve.

Summary: Once I understood what the CodeSoft program needed I crafted a spreadsheet that tracked my production runs and allowed a replacement user to operate the CodeSoft with a little instruction. The program is stable and reliable, and provides flexibility in creating a barcode for the specific label needed. I would not hesitate to recommended CodeSoft for anyone seeking a barcode label solution.

Positive: Have used CodeSoft for 8 years. It does what I need it to do and their tech support is always a phone call away and available with little or no wait time. Initially, we were challenged by the setup for our Brady PAM3000 printer after its acquisition, but soon we were barcoding with ease. Keyboard customizations were a big help as, in our case, we could only operate with limited automation and had to activate print for individual labels, which was able to be defined on the " - " (minus) button at the corner of the extended keyboard. This allowed print activation without using Control + P an without looking at the keyboard.

Negative: Setting up the connection takes more steps than I'd prefer, but I suppose that allows CodeSoft to interface with nearly any system. I used spreadsheets as my data source so perhaps our application was less simple than most. Nonetheless, CodeSoft worked perfectly once the interfacing was complete. Tech support was a big help here in our early days.

Summary: Very great experience. Have gone thru several product upgrades over the years and have always been satisfied with the service.

Positive: Easy product to install and setup. Very user friendly and powerful labeling solution. Administrative duties straight forward to accomplish. Very scalable as well.

Negative: Still searching for negatives. Works well in a factory/plant environment.

Summary: The CODESOFT software has been able to meet all of our customers label design needs and I find the software very user friendly.

Positive: My company had Labelview 8 and needed to upgrade to CODESOFT in order to meet our needs of our customers. The transition from Labelview 8 to CODESOFT was easy and I was able to do it in just a few hours. A few years later my company needed to transition to the newer version of CODESOFT and once again I was able to do it myself and with ease.

Negative: The downside is that without a yearly maintenance fee the up date to the CODESOFT software is at a cost to the customer.

Summary: Great product, and the few times we needed support, Teklynx was available immediately and resolved our issue promptly.

Positive: We integrate Codesoft with a database management application for our SSCC / UCC-128 labels. With dozens of customers, each with their own unique label specifications, Codesoft allows us to easily create and manage custom label templates for each.

Negative: Database and field connection process could be more intuitive.

Summary: If CodeSoft didn't deliver exceptional results, I wouldn't have stuck with it year after year. Barcode labeling our custom products has been a staple task for us, and I honestly can't recall ever needing another software for the job. Our experience with both the company and the software itself has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite the higher price point, we rely on this software daily for printing labels, especially for our circuit boards. I highly recommend attending one of their webinars to truly grasp the extensive capabilities of this software.

Positive: CodeSoft makes label and template creation a breeze by seamlessly incorporating existing designs into new ones. And if you ever need a hand, the support team is top-notch, ready to offer expert assistance whenever you need it, creating a supportive environment for making the most out of the software.

Summary: If it wasn't a great software, I wouldn't continue to use it year after year. We have been barcode labeling our custom products for years and I do not recall using any other software.

Positive: We have been using Codesoft for several years now. The software is very user friendly and makes it extremely easy to customize the labels.

I would recommend Codesoft to anyone looking for a great barcode labeling software.

Negative: Honestly, I do not have any complaints or issues with our software.

Summary: Codesoft makes creation and management of formats for 1,453 products, requiring 3 different labels each; so much more efficient and easier than it was before.

Positive: Simple to learn. Easy to create and manage formats. Very efficient, can utilize one format for multiple labels by pulling data from our ERP system. Simple to concatenate fields into strings to make printed label more aesthetically pleasing. Using paragraph alignment and fit to frame creates uniform labeling as the field sizes change from one product to another. Super simple to add logos and backgrounds to formats. Can set the background to not print if using pre-printed stock, allowing easy accurate placement of fields on pre-printed stock.

Negative: Can't say I found anything I do not like about Codesoft, much better than previous software used.

Summary: Great, we will continue to use this product. Our company has been already using it for years. Great product

Positive: Easy to use, support is great. Any problems, they easily walk you through it. It's been great for us generating shipping labels etc...

Negative: Would like to have on multiple desktops but won't pay for extra licensing as we would still only be using it one person at a time.....

Summary: I enjoy using this system. I would recommend this application to anyone who makes labels daily whether they are simple or complicated.

Positive: It is a very simple to use technology that makes work easy. Anyone can create labels efficiently and effectively. I would recommend this application to anyone.
