Summary: Overall it is awesome! Having been using it for almost a year and create monthly re-forecasts using combination of prior months actuals and future months forecast.

Positive: Love Budgyt’s business model which enabled use to try it out with our data and most of the setup without paying up front. Budgyt is so much better than my bulky multi company, multi department Excel spreadsheet.
Great that we can upload detailed actual GL data for users to see. Awesome that we easily see prior year monthly actuals, and budget on the data sheet for a gut check. The formulas and excel linking files work like a charm. Implementation was very smooth and haven't needed to contact customer support yet. You can tell this product was designed by a CFO, and is easy enough to use by a non-financial manager!

Negative: Can't restrict access to Payroll module by department.

Summary: We love this software in our organization. We have read-only users who rave about it. But it has most drastically improved the lives of the financial accountants.

Positive: The ability to splice income statements into various formats, quarterly, monthly, annually with ease, in addition to combining entities and/or departments. I mostly enjoy viewing a number of entities in a single report with each entity as its own column. It was challenging to do this format efficiently prior to having the Budgyt software.

Compiling presentation materials for senior executives is a breeze compared to the manual processes I experienced previously to appease various format requests of attendees.

Negative: I'd like to remove the % option from reports fully, and have more tailorable options for %'s added into reports.

More descriptive processes for FOA and C2C (formula) in the Budgyt program. It's not an intuitive process and the language itself can be confusing.

Summary: We are new users but are really happy with our purchase so far. Looking forward to our first full year of seeings its benefits.

Positive: User friendly, great support staff, fast scenario building, and comprehensive FS package available! We purchased in September and are already in and almost complete with our first budget season.

Negative: Creating new users can be a pain - but you only have to do that at set up or occasionally.

Summary: My overall experience is that the software has been a great investment as our organization was using a large, complicated excel spreadsheet. Budgyt software has been a big-time saver even while learning its capabilities during my first year! The team is wonderful, and they take great pride in your success!

Positive: I like that the software is very user friendly with navigation and setup. The Budgyt team works hard from the very beginning of their relationship with a potential customer to ensure the ease of using the software. The one-on-one trainings and recordings are the best! The training is recorded and provided in an online library to refer back to as much as needed, which has helped me tremendously as I work in a fast-paced environment.

Negative: The only con would be my slowness of importing data into my accounting software, however with lots of monthly practice I have overcame the process and gotten quicker at imports.

Summary: We adopted Budgyt first and foremost as a new budgeting solution to replace manual, Excel-based process. It quickly became obvious that Budgyt delivers much more, and has become our tool of choice for financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis. Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. It is the only finance tool that our non-finance users regularly come to me with compliments and positive feedback about.

Positive: Love the Budgyt platform! Very intuitive and easy to use, with capabilities that allow users to get more detailed and complicated as needed. Allows us to enter data in detail (or summary) in a way that makes it incredibly accessible and easy to read for non-finance users, which is ultimately a huge time saver for our finance team. Everyone on the Budgyt team that I have spoken to or worked with from sales to support (including the CEO & founder who took one of my training/implementation calls) has been awesome. The training was great (the video academy might be my single favorite & most-used/recommended training feature in any program ever), onboarding and implementation were made super easy (as far as those things go), and ongoing support (on the rare occasions it's been needed; it's been mostly out-of-the-box questions/ideas that I've brought up post-go-live) is excellent & very personable - huge shout-out to "budgyt guru" Aileen who has been immensely helpful from day 0 to the present, anticipating our needs at times before we even did.

Negative: My only 'complaint' is that of several additional features that have been implemented since we began using Budgyt (dashboards, cash flow, balance sheet) I am anxiously-awaiting the #1 item on my wishlist - live integration with Sage Intacct API to eliminate manual import of actual data. But I'm confident that when it arrives it will work correctly.

Summary: The product has a great visual layout and dashboard is well designed. Data setup is very self explanatory and flexible. It has an import/export feature. Budgyt stores historical information and this helps to fine tune scenarios. Their customer service team give me personalized and quick responses.

Positive: I use Budgyt to summarize over 20 different service programs. The program helps me with evaluating constantly changing costs in personnel and project expenditures. Upload and download is very easy to use. The customer service accommodated our agency's specific needs with the import/export feature. Training was customized to our agency's needs and recording was available.

Negative: Originally payroll setup feature was less flexible. Now this payroll taxes input is more flexible and ensures faster data setup.

Summary: My experience from sales, to implementation, to go live and beyond was seamless and all the users were onboarded quickly and effectively.

Positive: Budgyt is such a needed software when it comes to the budgeting process. Bugyt is super user-friendly, and their support staff has your back the entire way. It is my second time referring an organization I work for to use Budgyt for their budgeting application. Their payroll module is so functional and allows you to dial in the payroll aspect of your business regarding the annual budget. We went from a spreadsheet budget last year with 15 revisions and many mistakes to an error free system we can depend on.

Negative: There really were no cons, Budgyt excels at so many things and they deliver exactly what they sell.

Summary: James and his staff take time to ask relevant questions to gain insight into how we want to track our project expenses. Additionally, short meetings are easily scheduled promptly to address concerns or questions, and I can always keep moving forward. Budgyt is a user-friendly platform that makes recordkeeping easy, and the built-in reports provide instant answers when a steering committee member questions an expense. Customer support is stellar. Overall, an enjoyable experience!

Positive: Clean structure; great customer service; minimal customization needed. Convenient reporting and data entry.

Negative: Once I understood the structure, I was able to work more quickly and efficiently.

Summary: Overall we are happy with our selection for Budgyt as our ultimate budgeting tool that is helping us solve our annual budgeting.

Positive: Best tool for budgeting and forecasting. Using it for our multiple companies and departments and working really well.

Negative: With a big database such as ours, it is slow now. Development team is working and hopefully to solve this issue soon.

Summary: I think this is a great, robust tool for teams! I love the different scenarios that you can set up and how easily you can toggle between different team's budgets.

Positive: Budgyt is a great tool for cross team forecasting and budgeting. It's super versatile and allows teams to own their own budgets.

Negative: If you don't have a finance background or good on-boarding training then this could be confusing to adopt.

Summary: Initial set up was easy, continued customer service throughout was excellent. Very passionate team, and the system enabled a strongly adopted budget to be produced in this organisation.

Positive: Great for budget-holder engagement using the excellent access control to ensure they only get to view their areas - simplifying their experience whilst they contribute to a wider, more complex budget.

Negative: Nothing - very well built and supported system with ease of use.

Summary: Budgyt provides all of our monthly reporting, rolling forecasting, and annual plan. Coming from doing all of this in Excel, Budgyt is a life saver.

Positive: Easy implementation. Excellent customer support. Very intuitive to use. No hidden costs. Perfect for our business.

Negative: I can't think of any cons. This application does everything we need and more!

Summary: The budgeting process has never been easier because Budgyt has everything you need. I would cringe when budget season came up because of the Excel files that were previously used with these long formulas and, god forbid, if you wanted to add a new cost center, entity, etc. Now, I don't have to worry about any of these points of frustration and can rest assured that the formulas work, the changes are tracked, the budget versions are available, and the numbers make sense. Budgyt has cut our budgeting process in half, which has more than paid for itself.

Positive: Easy to input data, create multiple budgets, track changes and view not only individual cost centers, but also entire entities with a few easy clicks. Tracking the changes is very important especially if you give entity/cost center owners the ability to input their own data or if you have multiple Finance personnel editing information. The payroll features are so very helpful and you can create as many fields as you need to calculate the payroll correctly and then assign these fields to the respective employees such as: FICA, bonuses, health benefits based on which group the employees has elected, wellness benefits, etc. It is so easy to slice and dice the information even if you are working with multiple entities and you can easily export to Excel. Overall, Budgyt took all of those troublesome spreadsheets for each entity and cost center and condensed it into an easy way to input, track and view the information. This tool is a game changer!

Negative: Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the reports to run.

Summary: We work with Budgyt because of the platform's usability and affordability to have more user access. Other platforms were too tricky for the end user to access or had a monthly or annual fee that didn't meet the needs of our non-profit organization. In short, the platform is really accessible.

Positive: We use Budgyt to manage our budgeting process in Budgyt and ensure that budget managers know their spending compared to their budget every month. We also use the platform for each budget manager to build their annual budget as an organization. Our organization leaders also leverage the platform to determine budget spending and allowances.

Negative: The lack of integration with Sage Intacct is difficult.

Summary: Love it. It fits the needs of our company and improves the efficiency of our budget and forecast process.

Positive: We use Budgyt for all of our budget and forecasting needs. Users create what their budget needs are in the software and those requests run through an approval process before they are actually added as a valid item in the budget. We can also run multiple budgets and forecasting scenarios at once which really helps us plan for any possible outcome.

Negative: Ability to directly connect with account software.
