    BitChute is the Best!

    Date: Nov 11 2023

Summary: BitChute has been very handy for getting unbiased truthful opinions in times of universal deceit. BitChute exposes the questionable aspects of various topics.

Positive: BitChute allows free speech in the comment section, thus allowing users to form their own better balanced opinions.

Negative: The Cons are minimal, nothing worth mentioning. Some people abuse the comment section for serving other agendas.

    Shady

    Edited: Dec 28 2023

Summary: A few weeks ago BitChute removed all the titles from the videos on its front page, leaving nothing but the thumbnails. This made the site difficult to use, since it was no longer possible to know the name of a video or who the uploader was without clicking on it. BitChute also made it impossible to see categories such as Trending Videos without being logged in to an account. It seemed as though these changes were made to pressure those who, like me, were using the site without an account to register. Why would BitChute do that unless it wanted to keep tabs on visitors?

I tried to register and never received the automated activation email that was supposed to have been sent. I emailed support several hours later and was pleasantly surprised to find a reply in my inbox the next day informing me that my account had been manually activated.

I then posted comments to a few videos without problem. A couple of days later when I logged back in to my account, I discovered that BitChute had without notification or explanation blocked me from posting comments across the entire site. None of the comments I had posted earlier had been removed, so I can only assume that what I had written hadn't violated any guidelines.

I don't know what's up at BitChute, but the way it's being run lacks transparency and it no longer feels like a free speech-friendly platform. The number of comments and upvotes in the comments sections has gone down precipitously over the last few months, which gives the impression that my recent experience isn't an isolated case and that BitChute is furtively culling user accounts. I won't be logging in again, and now consider the entire operation suspect.

There have also been weird incidents over the past year where videos and channels suddenly vanished without a trace from the site, only to reappear a few months later as if they had never left. It makes me wonder if BitChute hasn't been experimenting with manipulating content according to visitors' IP addresses.

Positive: Features content that would be banned from platforms like YouTube; straightforward, well thought-out interface.

Negative: Glitchy, unreliable; lacks transparency; not as free speech-friendly as claimed.

    Subversive censorship and gaslighting.

    Date: Oct 21 2023

Summary: I noticed everyone I started watching on there slowly stopped posting. When I messaged them on YouTube they told me that they're still posting there daily, I explained I hadn't seen them in many months. After extensively researching into why it appears about a year or two ago without a word BitChute began censoring people, even for the most mundane thing. And rather than telling you you've done something naughty, or committed a thought crime, they just yeet you into the abyss like YouTube, Twitter, etc. do.

I emailed them asking about my favorite content creators, they replied almost instantly willing to help, and asked which creators, I responded with a list of creators - I never got a reply. I emailed them a week later, then a month later, then three months later. No reply. I messaged them on Twitter, I got an instant reply wanting to help, I told them about my experience so far, they said they'd love to help which creators am I having trouble seeing. I listed the creators. They blocked me.

So they're ACTIVELY gas lighting users. Gas lighting of this level has caused tens of thousands of deaths of despair and suicides, it has a real world cost to peoples lives, sanity, and emotions. Dishonesty and pure evil antics like infringing on peoples human rights is unacceptable. For this reason I recommend never using BitChute.

    Positive: YouTube alternative.
    Easy interface, albeit slow.
    Easy on the eyes.
Okay I've run out of stuff to say.

    Negative: Secretly ban your content.
Gas light you into thinking you're still visible.
Refuse to respond to your emails.
