Its data model reflects how unions actually work: members tied to employers, contracts, and dues classifications, with remittance arriving from multiple employers at once.
Winmill owns and operates the physical infrastructure behind eMembership instead of renting capacity from a public cloud provider. The equipment sits in a colocation facility that holds SOC 1 and SOC 2 audit reports and ISO 27001 certification, and Winmill maintains HIPAA Security Rule and PCI DSS compliance for the eMembership environment. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Unions connect eMembership to the tools they already use through an open REST API and prebuilt integrations with QuickBooks, Great Plains, Mailchimp, SendGrid, Twilio, Stripe, PayPal, DocuSign, and others. Staff work in a web application, while members use a native iOS and Android app or a web portal that reads and writes the same database in real time.
Functionality is split into 18 modules, so a union licenses only what it needs and adds more later. Two releases ship each year as part of the subscription. Pricing is set by module, never by seat or member count.
