BSC Designer simplified our KPI reviews and quality management with useful AI support Date: Nov 01 2026
Summary: In our company, which manufactures precision measuring tools, we review performance and quality indicators every month. Before BSC Designer, we spent about 2 days preparing the data and another 5 days following up on corrective initiatives. One of our biggest problems was keeping track of why certain indicators changed and what actions had been agreed upon.
BSC Designer has made this process much more organized. We now have a common place for KPIs, explanations, and improvement initiatives. The AI assistant is a useful addition, particularly for reviewing our KPI setup and highlighting unexpected changes in the results that we might want to investigate.
The biggest benefit for us is the fact that our team can spend more time discussing quality issues and improvements. We still need to follow up with people on their actions, but the information is much easier to find and manage.Positive: We use BSC Designer to manage our performance and quality KPIs. Previously, our monthly review process involved collecting Excel files and updates from different colleagues, checking the numbers, and making sure everyone followed the same reporting rules. Preparing the data alone took around 2 days.
With BSC Designer, most of the consolidation is automatic, and we have reduced the time spent on data collection and preparation by approximately 80–90%.
The AI assistant available directly in the platform was helpful when we were setting up our KPIs and deciding how to measure certain quality objectives. We also use it to identify unusual changes and anomalies in performance data, which gives us a good starting point for further investigation. Some of our more technical colleagues have also used BSC Designer's MCP server to make loading data into the platform easier.
Another useful feature is that colleagues can add explanations directly to their KPIs, so when a quality or production indicator changes, we can see the reason without going through long email discussions. Our monthly meetings are now more focused on understanding the results and agreeing on corrective actions.Negative: The initial setup required some effort to agree on KPI definitions, responsibilities, and reporting rules. Some colleagues also needed time to get used to updating their indicators in a structured way instead of using Excel or email. AI suggestions are useful, but we still need to check them against our production processes.

Managing monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs across departments Date: Oct 30 2026
Summary: We moved from separate Excel files to a centralized KPI system. BSC Designer tracks performance across departments, handles different reporting cycles and prepare regular reviews. Less time collecting data. The data entry itself might be the same as in Excel, but we don't spend time checking the formulas and handling update periods manually. That was the most time consuming task.
Positive: BSC Designer helps us manage monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs across production, quality, and finance. Each department updates its own indicators, while managers can track overall progress.
Negative: Setting up different reporting periods individually for each indicator, as only one default period can be configured, others need to be selected manually.

12+ Years Using BSC Designer for Monthly Performance and Quality Reviews Date: Oct 29 2026
Summary: For our pension management organization, consistency in reporting is very important. We need to monitor service quality and operational performance over time, not just prepare a report at the end of the month. BSC Designer has helped us maintain this routine for many years. The transition from desktop to online was a useful change, especially because different team members can now contribute to the same reporting process. We use the platform for monthly summaries, discussing indicators that are below target, and following up on corrective actions. It is not a replacement for management discussions, but it gives those discussions a clear structure. After more than 12 years, it remains a useful part of our regular work.
Positive: We have been using BSC Designer for more than 12 years, starting with the desktop version and later moving to the online platform. It works well for tracking the performance and quality of our team of 24 people. Every month, we update our indicators, review deviations from targets, add comments explaining the results, and agree on improvements. Some data comes automatically from our database, while most updates are still entered manually by the responsible people. I particularly like having the figures, explanations, and previous results in one place. It makes our monthly review meetings much easier to prepare and helps us focus on problems.
Negative: Manual data collection still takes time, especially when several people need to update their indicators before the monthly review. Some configuration options are not immediately obvious to occasional users, so we sometimes need to explain the process again.

ISO 9001 Reporting for Our Water Treatment Operations Date: Oct 28 2026
Summary: BSC Designer has been useful for bringing more order to our quality management work. Our main goal was to improve how we monitor process performance and prepare for ISO 9001 reviews. The biggest improvement is having quality objectives and measurements in one place. For a water treatment org, where laboratory results need regular attention, this makes monthly reviews easier. We still use other systems for technical data, but BSC Designer gives us a clearer view of quality performance and where we need to take action.
Positive: We like how BSC Designer helps us organize quality indicators for our water treatment and filtration processes. Before, we used several Excel files to follow water quality test results, filter maintenance, customer complaints, and corrective actions. Now we keep these measurements in scorecards and compare actual results with our targets. This is especially helpful for our ISO 9001 reviews.
Negative: The initial setup takes some time, especially when deciding how to organize indicators and their targets. Some team members also needed guidance to understand the scorecard structure. Once everything was configured, daily use became much easier.

Using BSC Designer for supply chain validation Date: Oct 28 2026
Summary: We've moved from Excel to the platform to automate the supplier tracking over time. Overall time saving is estimated as 70-80% compared to the spreadsheets. The most important win was in avoiding the need to maintain formulas.
Positive: Easy to track complex scorecards with weights and multiple evaluation parameters. We use it for ongoing vendor evaluations.
Negative: Nothing specifically. The typical learning curve was about one week of trying the product and using videos to learn.
