Spot Virtual Machines allow you to purchase unused computing capacity at a significant cost saving. Deploy workloads which can handle interruptions, and do not need to be completed in a certain time frame. Workloads can be run for development, testing and quality assurance. Advanced analytics, big data and machine learning, batch jobs and transcoding videos, graphics and images are also possible. On spot VMs run only applications which can handle interruptions or are not time-sensitive. Azure has no computing capacity left and must reallocate resources. Select high-performance computing scenarios or batch processing jobs.
