The Aurora Driver, which is based on industry-leading hardware, software and firmware, can adapt to a variety vehicle types and use cases. This allows us to deliver the benefits and self-driving technology across many industries, including long-haul trucking and local goods delivery. The Aurora Driver is composed of sensors that see the world, software that plans safe routes through it, and a computer that powers and integrates them all with the vehicle. The Aurora Driver can operate any type of vehicle, from sedans to trucks up to Class 8. The Aurora Computer, which connects our hardware to autonomy software, allows the Aurora Driver seamless integration with all vehicle types. Our custom-designed sensor suite, which includes FirstLight Lidar and long-range imaging radars, creates a 3D representation that gives the Aurora Driver a 360@ view around what's going on around it.
