Audacious is an open source audio player. Audacious is a descendant of XMMS and plays your music however you like it. It doesn't take away your computer resources from other tasks. Drag and drop folders or individual song files, search your entire music library for artists and albums, and create and edit custom playlists. You can listen to CDs and stream music from the Internet. You can adjust the sound quality with the graphical equalizer, or change the dynamic range using audio effects. Enjoy the modern Qt-themed interface, or switch things up with Winamp Classic skins. Audacious plugins can be used to display a VU meter and fetch lyrics for your music. This release contains several minor improvements made over the last year. This release brings Qt UI to Windows. It also includes a variety community contributions. Audacious runs on Linux and BSD derivatives as well as Microsoft Windows.
