Amazon QLDB, a fully managed ledger database, provides a transparent, immutable and cryptographically verifyable transaction log that is owned by a central trusted authority. Amazon QLDB allows you to track every application data change, and keeps a complete history of all changes over time. Ledgers are used to record the history of financial and economic activity within an organization. Many organizations create applications that have ledger-like functionality. They do so because they want to keep a detailed history of their data. This includes tracking the history and debits of bank transactions, verifying the data lineage for an insurance claim, or tracking the movement of an item within a supply chain network. Amazon QLDB is a new type of database that eliminates the need for complex development of your own ledger-like apps.
