Agile Poker Description
Story Points allows participants to vote on how much work they believe the story will require. Votes are not visible until all participants have voted. The estimates are then made public and the discussion can resume. This method places issues in buckets based on their relative sizes. The team creates rough estimates, discusses them, and then selects the most accurate estimate. This is a great option for distributed teams who want to estimate at different times and prefer consultation-based estimates. Async Poker can be used as an introduction to the interactive phase. Agile Poker is a flexible planning toolkit. It provides four methods for collaborative estimation that support refinement and sprint planning, PI planning and prioritization based upon the team's experience or backlog size.
