Advensys Description
POS typically means that the customer will be present at the sale. There are no quotations or enquiries, there is only a sale. The POS System does not consider free stock levels. The "Till" interface within Advensys is the POS interface. The "Till" interface within Advensys is the POS interface. This means that when goods are sold, deductions are only made from stock levels at that particular service centre. A till is a specially designed PC that has a barcode scanner attached. It also has a mechanism to print till receipts and activate a cash drawer. Multiple tills may share a receipt printer and cash drawer, or each till may have its individual one. Credit Card payments are handled via a PDQ (personal data query) machine. This machine is not connected to Advensys.
