Summary: Awesome CRM. Great experience using it. Easy to customize and excellent customer support. Overall experience has been good. I have been using Act! for many years.
Positive: Great value. CRM as a total solution providing all the tools to stay connected to clients and prospects. Package includes full CRM and a top notch, easy-to-use a marketing automation application. Highly recommended for SMB and sales professionals. Cannot live without it now.
Negative: Templates for Marketing Automation could use more design options. However, this is not a major miss.

Summary: Act! meets our company's needs for now. I am excited to see what new/better feature will be on the horizon. There are MANY other programs out there that do more in the way of marketing, and social media presence, but my company is new at that also, so I think it will be nice to "grow together".
Positive: Act! is pretty easy to use, and to navigate through. It is great to help me organize the tasks that need to be done. I LOVE that I can prioritize my tasks, set alerts/reminders, and roll over any tasks that I couldn't get done today, into tomorrow's list, and they will all be prioritized again tomorrow!
Negative: I do not like that I have to walk through every single duplicate entry and consolidate them myself. Unfortunately, someone else entered a lot of duplicates that I need to fix. The Act! Companion never works well when I am traveling, and the business card scanning feature is useless.

Summary: Overall it was an anxiety filled day. Your IT guy was very knowledgeable and helpful...my IT guy was very appreciative. One thing though, my IT guy and I both had a hard time understanding your IT guy. I'm sure technically his English is WAY better than ours (clearly he learned the King's Language while we Americans...well we're Americans), however his accent was so thick we had a hard time understanding him and would have to ask him to repeat himself numerous times. Great guy though and one hell of a computer wizard.
Positive: That my IT guy handled it and your IT guy worked with my IT guy. I pretty much listened like a canine would when humans talk.
Negative: My IT guy giving me a heart attack, luckily your IT guys saved his butt.

Summary: Act! became a very solvent platform for us, since this service helped us maintain a stable quality of service for our clients, the platform allowed us to register each of the clients in a list, we were able to register all the privileged contact information for each client, in order not to lose sight of our clients and not lose their contact details, this platform helped us a lot when it came to having constant communication with clients, attending to each of the requirements, creating automated systems to meet specific requirements and also allowed us to have an automation of marketing campaigns, so that our clients received automated emails or automated responses depending on their interaction with the campaign sent. We have been using this platform for a period of two years, we really do not regret having started using it, since it has allowed us to retain more than 200 clients since we started using it, in addition, we have managed to automate the vast majority of actions to execute in each advertising campaign. I believe that the only negative effect that has to be improved on this platform is the high prices that it offers its users, nothing else.
Positive: Act! is an infallible platform when it comes to communicating with the client, this platform is essential to be able to have a constant retention of negotiations, one of the first features that I liked about this platform is the ability it has to do automatic analysis, This platform offers me a system which allows me to generate automated analysis, it is capable of collecting all the information regarding the negotiations and the potential client registered within the platform, in this way it offers you a detailed report on the rate of satisfaction with clients. , the total deals completed, the total deals canceled and many other statistics, I consider that these automatic statistics help me a lot to save time when it comes to obtaining detailed reports. The platform has mobile access, through an application, this application is quite beneficial when it comes to organizing your sales automation system, in addition, you can also perform marketing automation through this application, I consider this application to be quite functional and beneficial . This platform has a drag and drop system, which allows you to create an automated system in a matter of seconds, you just have to drag and drop each of the actions that have to be executed when the client requires it, so that this can be executed quickly. through the marketing system. Summary: If you're into being completely organized, having necessary info easily accessible, and want things YOUR way, ACT! is the database for you.
Positive: It's easy to use (if you're a dedicated Windows user), the Search function is fabulous, you can build your own template layout, put fields where you want them, create your own background design, keep detailed records about transactions/communications. It truly is ALMOST the single greatest database ever made.
Negative: Why ALMOST? It's available only for Windows - please make it for Macintosh again, like you did back in the 90s, and it WILL be the single greatest database EVER made!

Summary: Ok, it's been a big learning curve from the old desktop version I have as far as where everything is located but I'm getting there. If the bugs can be worked out, I'll be happier. In the 1990's when Pat had Sales Logix, I was a corporate trainer for Iron Mountain and went up and down the east coast training them on this product, so I do know my way around a CRM product.

Negative: Takes too long to load, kicks me out after a while, have to restart it often. Still use a desktop version from 2007 that works flawlessly. Major issue with the APP for my phone (Samsung Galaxy S21 5G), tried customer service, didn't work. Can load it on other phones but not mine. Went to Verizon, they went through the phone and said everything is up to date and working. This started after I renewed and loaded the most recent version. I need this to work on my phone. Verizon mentioned could be some sort of issue with your newest version and my specific model.

Summary: This is our only experience with a CRM but this seems to take care of our needs. I wish the architecture was directed a little more to the insurance field.
Positive: Support is usually very prompt. They have a good reputation and the stability of the software has been acceptable.
Negative: The total cost of usage. The structure is really not suited for the Insurance field.

Have looked into other programs, but it's almost impossible to migrate data.Positive: Ease of use. Graphics are easy to read.
Scheduling is simple, and making changes is a breeze.

Summary: I've been using this program for many many years, close to 30! i was forced to purchase a 3rd party add-on to provide the functionality I really needed. The ACT! Companion app is almost useless as it doesn't allow me to access the information I need.
If I had to start from scratch again, most probably would not longer choose ACT!, which I used to recommend very strongly.Positive: Customer and sales process tracking, along with document templates are the functions I use on a daily basis.
Negative: Locks up frequently "Not Responding", and I'm forced to restart my computer often multiple times a day. It also seems requires a call to tech support most every time there is a Microsoft update. They are fine and have always resolved the problem, but you 'll be on the phone for an hour and a half... never a quick fix.

The new features don't add much value to me. The mobile app would be great if I could access any of the field that were useful. The app takes so long to log-in and navigate that it's far quicker to pull out my laptop to get what I need.Act! Company Response -

Summary: During the update process, Support was difficult at best, because the main phrase was, cannot assist with anything else until you upgrade to the latest, then after updating to the latest, it became get more licenses, then an internet outage caused the database to be locked, and I had to work with a consultant for 1000 dollars in fees to get the system back up and usable.
Positive: Once in the system, able to easily search and updated records, add entries, work with current data and notes.
Negative: Takes a long time to load, even after adding more RAM to the server side, replacing network infrastructure for more reliable communication across the network and doubled the speed of the internet.

Great Program! But...ver. 24 loads Pro VERY SLOWLY... Date: Feb 08 2023
Summary: Good. Like all programs I depend on these have their pros and cons. I had a challenge to avoid buying the subscription ver. My old version apparently had a security issue and I was "forced" to upgrade. Had trouble finding a vendor that would sell me ver 24 NON-SUBSCRIPTION. I think I would have dropped ACT if I had to use that version. I only use it now as an address book and I don't need all of the features anymore. But I still love it!
Positive: Overall great program, used it for over 20 yrs. Very useful, user friendly. Consistent interface over the years.
Negative: New version loads way too slow. Window 10 Pro., I've done all the updates but this problem still persists. Can't find any support address dealing with this.

Summary: ACT!'s best days are behind it. While the options for small businesses is not very attractive; I probably would look to Goldmine.
Unfortunately, I keep using ACT!, because I don't have the time to change. But, if I can ever afford an IT type person; my company will probably switch to some other option.Positive: ACT! use to be the premier contact manager for small businesses. It was absolutely fantastic in the 80's & 90's. The best reason to own ACT! was because you could store all your contact management in one place and it was easy to use; had versatile templates and you could send multiple emails to a contact easily.
Negative: In the past 10-years, ACT! has really fallen apart. Not enough investment by the new owners. They are just milking the old product to point of obsolescence. Recently, they came out with a few upgrades in they were total BS! This is the only upgrades you were capable of making in the past year?

Summary: Find another solution. For the amount they want to charge there are better products with better support and a wider range of features, especially when you consider current pricing is higher than most competitors for less functionaly.
We've paid for most recent upgrade but will be migrating to another product in the near future. Frankly, after 20 and some odd years of using the product, I can't imagine that Swiftpage will still be around in 5 years.Positive: We've used ACT at work since 1993 and have seen it go through many changes. It was a good central database to log contacts, companies and the interactions with them.
Negative: The last few years, improvements are focused more on "add-on services" that will increase revenue for Swiftpage and NOT on fixing bugs or improving functionality and speed. (For example, attachments are impossible to move because paths are hard-coded, but this hasn't been fixed in years). Most importantly they REALLY REALLY want to get customers for the higher monthly fee subscriptions .. to the point where they handicap the base "pro" product, and are discontinuing it and moving to [high-priced] subscription only in 2020. Pricing is, in some cases HIGHER than Salesforce.com, for example, but for much less functionality.
